Adama host Sidama Coffee, Shashemene face Ethiopia Coffee
It will be a feast of Coffee at Hawassa University Stadium on Sunday when Adama face Sidama Coffee with relegation-threatened Shashemene City meeting Ethiopia Coffee.
Adama Kenema face Sidama Coffee in the first match of the day on the back of two wins and two draws from their last four games, a decent run of good form.
They have also kept three clean sheets and will be reinforced with the expected return of Yosef Tekelegn to the team.
Tarekegn has been missing for the last few games and his presence will improve the attacking potential of Adama as they scored only four goals in their last five games.
Their opponents, Sidama Coffee will be playing in front of their home fans at the Hawassa University Stadium, a good hunting ground for them since the league moved there.
They have gained four points in the two games they have played at Hawassa.
They have lost only one of the last eight league games, a run which has elevated them to 11th place on the log with 31 points.
SHASHEMENE FIGHTING FOR SURVIVAL
Shashemene City, who are odds-on relegation candidates along with Hambericho Durame, have their work cut out when they face Ethiopia Coffee in the second game.
That will be the final match of the week starting at 6:00 PM, and with their poor results matching their struggles outside of the pitch, it is difficult to see how they will survive.
Shashemene have won only twice in the season, losing seven of the last eight games and managing to secure only one point in that run.
However, if they can secure an unlikely win in this game, they do have a chance to leapfrog Wolkite, who are immediately above them, into 15th place.
Ethiopia Coffee, who went winless in three consecutive matches, got back to winning ways with back-to-back victories in their most recent matches, bringing them into the fixture in good form.
Coffee are in sixth place with 38 points and can move up to fourth place if they win, and that's all the incentive they need.
