The Toyota Cheetahs returned veteran former Springbok Oupa Mohoje back to the starting line up as part of two changes to their side to face Cardiff in the EPCR Challenge Cup match on Saturday night.

Mohoje replaces Friedle Olivier in the pace while Cohen Jasper is back on the wing in place of Prince Nkabinde on the left wing.

After the draw against Perpignan last weekend, the Cheetahs are looking to grab a win away from home to strengthen their chances of a playoff spot next year.

And they will look to their forwards who got them back into the game against the French side last week as their biggest weapon.

“We pride ourselves on our forward pack.” Cheetah flanker Gideon van der Merwe said.

“Coach Sakkie (Izak van der Westhuizen) drives us hard, and the standards are high. It is good to see that we can dominate up front in Europe. We just need to keep that going and we need to work more on our attacking and defensive side.”

Toyota Cheetahs: Michael Annies, Munier Hartzenberg, Carel-Jan Coetzee, Ali Mgijima, Cohen Jasper; Ethan Wentzel, Ruben de Haas; Jeandre Rudolph, Oupa Mohoje, Gideon van der Merwe, Victor Sekekete (captain), Carl Wegner, Aranos Coetzee, Louis van der Westhuizen, Schalk Ferreira.

Replacements: Vernon Paulo, Hencus van Wyk, Robert Hunt, Pierre-Raymond Uys, Friedle Olivier, Daniel Maartens, Rewan Kruger, George Lourens
