Final T20I between Proteas and Pakistan washed out
The third and final KFC T20I between the Proteas and Pakistan was washed out after lightning initially delayed the start before the rain came pouring down at DP World Wanderers on Saturday night.
After the initial delay the weather relented for a bit which saw a pitch inspection scheduled, before the rain and lightning came roaring back, which then led to the captains, Heinrich Klaasen and Mohammad Rizwan shaking hands with the game called off
It meant the Proteas secured a 2-0 series win after winning the opener in Durban on Tuesday by 11-runs, followed by a superb seven wicket win in the second game at SuperSport Park in Centurion on Friday night, thanks to a stunning century from Proteas opener Reeza Hendricks.
The teams now turn their attention to the three match ODI series with games in Paarl, Cape Town and Johannesburg next week Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, followed by a two-test series starting with the Boxing Day test at Centurion.
