Did URC that? - round 10
Welcome to this week’s edition of “Did URC that?”, the little space we keep aside for Vodacom United Rugby Championship fans where we bring them up to speed with everything entertaining that happened during the last round.
The mission is simple: we select a couple of video clips from the weekend and we have as much fun as we can with them.
This week’s theme is aesthetics. We aim to have something pleasing on the eye for almost anyone who dared to click on this article.
Now off we go:
PRIMPING MAPIMPI
Some people will see the following clip as an unnecessary fight, but others are lucky enough to view it as a great audition for a job as an underwear model.
Either way, Mapimps has career choices after rugby.
HAND MODEL
If you are not into ripped upper bodies and did not enjoy the previous clip, here is something to cleanse your eyes.
Here is how beautiful hands can be.
BABY COMEBACK
If you are into ripped upper bodies, and for that reason enjoyed that first clip. Here is another treat.
On a tad more serious note, it’s great to see young Sacha making such progress on his return from injury. We can’t wait to see him back on the field.
WWE
The following clip was created by our talented SuperSport social media team.
Everyone in the office enjoyed it, but no-one was willing to ask the most important question: which pro rugby player would make the best pro wrestler?
We’re sure Bakkies and Eben will get a few votes, but our money is on Sebastian Chabal. To this day.
FAMILY-FRIENDLY
The social media team at the URC itself shared the following crowd footage from Ellis Park over the weekend.
How good is it to see how children are still drawn to the game of rugby? To the fun and the adventure. Without them the game has no future. A special thank you to everyone involved in creating those smiles.
