In one of the most anticipated fights in recent years, southpaw junior welterweights Josh Taylor (19-1; 12) and Jack Catterall (28-1; 13) meet in a rematch in Leeds, England, on Saturday night.

There are no belts at stake.

In their first matchup two years ago in Glasgow, Scotland, Taylor retained his WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBF junior welterweight titles on a controversial decision.

Taylor was given the decision by two of the judges when most observers felt that the decision should have gone to Catterall.

Taylor, from Scotland, has only had one fight since the controversial matchup, losing to Teofimo Lopez in New York last year.

It is three years since Taylor (19-1; 12) became the undisputed junior welterweight champion when he defeated Jose Ramirez in Las Vegas.

In his next two fights the 33-year-old Taylor was far from impressive.

However, he became Britain’s first undisputed champion.in the four-belt era when he beat Ramirez.

It is two years since his first fight with Catterall with both fighters changing insults on social media.

They were scheduled to meet in February 2023, but Taylor had to withdraw through injury.

The 30-year-old Catterall believes he was robbed 27 months ago when he should have been crowned as the undisputed champion.

Taylor has not been all that impressive in his last two fights, while Catterall has looked in good form, and could take the decision.

On the undercard Cheavon Clarke (6-0; 6) meets Ellis Zorro (17-1; 7) for the vacant British cruiserweight title.

Lawrence Okolie challenges for the WBC bridgerweight title

Lawrence Okolie from Hackney, England, challenges Poland’s Lukasz Rozanski for the WBC bridgerweight title in Wroclaw, Poland on Friday night.

Okolie (19-1; 14) won the British, Commonwealth and European titles, and then captured the vacant WBO world title with a sixth round knockout of Krzysztof Glowacki in March 2021.

After three successful defences he lost the title to Chris Billum- Smith.

The 38-year-old Rozanski (15-0; 14) won the vacant WBC bridgerweight title when he stopped Alen Babic in the first round.
