Stellenbosch FC have confirmed that key winger Devin Titus has signed a new long-term contract with the club, keeping one of their prized assets in the Cape Winelands for the foreseeable future.

Titus will remain at the club to work under new coach Gavin Hunt, who has taken over from Steve Barker following the latter’s move to Simba SC in Tanzania.

Stellenbosch did not reveal the length of the contract extension.

“Stellenbosch FC is the club that gave me an opportunity to follow my dream of becoming a professional footballer, so I’m very happy to have signed a new contract here,” Titus said.

“I’m incredibly grateful to the club and all the coaches, staff, and players who have given me this platform to showcase my talent, and hopefully, there is even more to come in the next few years.”

A product of Stellenbosch FC’s development structures, Titus made his professional debut against Black Leopards in 2021 at the age of 19 and has since become the club’s third-most-capped player of all time.

He has made 152 appearances (133 starts) and scored 33 goals in all competitions.

He was part of the squad that won the 2023 Carling Knockout, claiming the Player of the Tournament award in the process.

The 24-year-old also helped Stellies reach back-to-back MTN8 finals in 2024 and 2025 and qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup in consecutive seasons.

Stellenbosch have lost several of their more accomplished players in recent times, with Andre de Jong (Orlando Pirates) and Lehlohonolo Mojela (Sekhukhune United) the latest to leave this month.

Stellenbosch’s next fixture is away at Sekhukhune United in the Betway Premiership on January 20.
