Hungry Lions & JDR Stars to headline MFC matchday 11
As two of the most in form teams in the Motsepe Foundation Championship currently, Hungry Lions and JDR Stars will hope to maintain their pace as the chasing pack at the top of the table in the latest round of league fixtures.
To begin with, log leaders Orbit College will hope to make it two wins out of two this week when they take on Maritzburg United at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on Saturday.
While Orbit regained form following their 2-1 win over La Masia earlier this week, the Team of Choice are currently on a run of two consecutive defeats.
Hungry Lions, who are unbeaten in their last six fixtures, will face Baroka at the Global Stadium on Saturday.
In making their way up to the table, Hungry Lions now trail Orbit by just three points in the second spot.
Also keeping up with the pace set by Orbit at the top of the pile, JDR Stars will hope to bag their third consecutive victory this weekend when they face Milford at the Chatsworth Stadium on Sunday.
Currently in third place, JDR Stars accumulated 19 points in the league so far, while Milford linger in 13th spot with a mere eight points to their name going into their next fixture.
