Week 4: Did URC that?

Welcome to our weekly look at our must-see collection of videos that came from last weekend's Vodacom United Rugby Championship action.

       1. RED OR DEAD?

Bulls coach Jake White was clearly no fan of watching his star centre David Kriel being shown the dreaded red in their match against the Ospreys on the weekend. In fact, on the World Happiness Report’s famous Cantril ladder, Jake could not have come in at more than 3/10 if judged solely as a camper.

We don’t know if he is right in his assertion that it would have been an automatic red the other way if Kriel didn’t lead into contact with his elbow. But it was a point forthrightly put and eloquently stated. For those reasons, we’ll let it slide.

2.     2. HE’S IN THEIR HEADS

There are not many things in life that can get to the crazed Viking we’ve all come to know as RG Snyman. Not even a URC record crowd of 80,468 at Croke Park.

We’ve been known to be spooked by a “boo!” from a crowd of one.

But was that really a “boo!”? And was that really a smirk?

 3. CAIRNS STOP ME NOW

The Lions have long been in the habit of providing whatever competition they’re playing in with some outstanding loose-forwards. This year is no exception.

JC Pretorius and Francke Horn won’t look out of place in any club in the world, but this past weekend it was the third musketeer, Jarod Cairns, that was king of the Welsh valleys.

  4.  ONE-ARMED BANDIT

Social media was awash this weekend with a viral clip of RG Snyman making one-handed lineout takes. Apparently a rugby ball is little more than a pea for him. Or at least that is what we thought the commentator said.

Is there anything (other than actually playing for Munster) that this man can’t do?

 5.   BROK BUSTER MOVE

Master of the Dark Arts, Punisher of the Weak, Trainstopper. And he is still only 39.

Take a bow for this effort, Brok Harris.
