Rugby has forced Stellenbosch to move the home leg of their MTN8 semifinal against Mamelodi Sundowns to the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

They will play the game there on Sunday September 1 at 3pm because both the Danie Craven Stadium and Athlone Stadiums is being used by Western Province rugby while the Cape Town Stadium will be closed down to prepare for the Springbok test against the New Zealand All Blacks on September 7.

Stellenbosch, who are competing in a fifth successive cup semifinal, meet Sundowns in the first leg of their last-four tie in Atteridgeville on Wednesday, August 28 (kickoff 7pm).

Sundowns are also shut out of their Loftus Versfeld home because of rugby matches on the weekend before and after the first leg.

The semifinal schedule opens up on Tuesday August 27 with the first leg tie between Cape Town City and Orlando Pirates at the Cape Town Stadium. The kickoff is 19h00. The second leg will be at Orlando Stadium on Saturday, August 31 with a 15h00 kickoff.

All matches will be live on SuperSport.

This year, Pirates are looking to become the first club to win the MTN8 three times in a row.
