All eyes will be on the top four teams in the Motsepe Foundation Championship this weekend, as the likes of Durban City, JDR Stars, Orbit College and Milford battle it out for top spot on the table.

To begin with, Durban City will hope to maintain their spot at the top of the pile when they take on fourth-placed Milford at the Chatsworth Stadium on Saturday.

Durban City toppled Milford at the summit of the Motsepe Foundation Championship table last time out, following a convincing 3-0 win against Leruma United on home soil.

Milford, on the other hand, extended their winless streak to three-matches after a 1-1 stalemate with Black Leopards on 7 December.

Then, in what is billed to be another exciting clash in matchday 14 of South Africa’s first division, Orbit College and JDR Stars are set to do battle at the Olympia Park Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Sitting in third position, Orbit are one of the most in-form teams in the league at the moment and could extend their unbeaten streak to eight matches this weekend.

Also, second-placed JDR Stars could make it four victories on the spin against Orbit, after claiming a 1-0 win against Hungry Lions at the Soshanguve Giant Stadium last Saturday.

As it stands, Durban City and JDR Stars have accumulated 25 points each, while Orbit and Milford have 24 points to their name after 13 matches played.
