Royal AM on the cusp of Championship glory
Royal AM are on the cusp of 2020-21 GladAfrica Championship glory following an enthralling penultimate round of league action on Sunday.
The KwaZulu-Natal club scored twice in the final minutes of the match to beat University of Pretoria 2-1 at Tuks Stadium.
Tshepo Liphoko and Zukile Mkhize earned the visitors a dramatic win and Royal AM (50 points after 29 matches) now need just a single point to confirm their automatic promotion to the DStv Premiership.
Sekhukhune United (47 points), who boast a superior goal difference to Royal AM, remain their only threat to the GladAfrica Championship crown.
Babina Noko climbed up to second with 2-0 win over Polokwane City, which was secured by first-half Katlego Cwinyane brace.

TS Sporting moved up to third with a 1-0 win over Uthongathi FC and they go into the final round of fixtures level on 46 points with Richards Bay FC while Free Stars and JDR Stars are just two points back and within touching distance of the two promotion playoff places.
At the other end of the league standings, AmaTuks, Polokwane City and Cape Town All Stars are all safe with Steenberg United and Cape Town Spurs the only two teams in danger of joining already relegated Bizana Pondo Chiefs in the ABC Motsepe League next season.
Spurs opened the scoring only to lose 3-1 at Ea Lla Koto while Steenberg claimed what could prove to be a vital point at home to JDR Stars.
A 1-1 draw was enough to move them above Spurs on goal difference and the Urban Warriors will need to better Steenberg's result on the 23rd of May or suffer relegation as a consequence.
