Pule, Hotto win big at Pirates awards
Vincent Pule and Deon Hotto were the big winners at the 2020-21 Orlando Pirates end of season awards, sharing wins in the top two categories.
The pair were named joint winners of the Player of the Season prize, as selected for by their teammates, and were also tied winners in the Fans’ Player of the Season after a vote by supporters.
Hotto made 44 appearances in all competitions, scoring seven goals, while Pule featured 41 times, netting nine goals.
Pule also picked up the Goal of the Season prize for his stunner against Kaizer Chiefs and also collected the Golden Boot as the top scorer in the squad.
Prospect of the Season went to Boitumelo Radiopane, while Save of the Season was won by Richard Ofori for his effort against Bloemfontein Celtic.
Pirates finished third in the DStv Premiership, but lifted the MTN8, their first trophy win in six years.
