Musonda expects big things with The Birds this season

Mwape Musonda says he is delighted with his return to the DStv Premiership after signing for Swallows FC for the coming season.
The Zambia international striker has spent the last few seasons with UAE side Hatta Club and Al-Sahel in Saudi Arabia, but is now set to extend his stay South Africa, where he first arrived with Orlando Pirates in 2015.
“It feels good, this is my seventh year if I am not mistaken and when you have been in a place for this long, it feels like home,” Musonda says. “I have been watching them [Swallows] since last season and I could see there is something going on here.

“And when I arrived, the environment and the atmosphere is great, the guys, the way they handle themselves at training … it met my expectations. It feels great to be a part of a Swallows team that is moving forward in the right direction.
“I hope my coming in will add value to the team and what we can achieve this season. I am a striker and it is about goals.
“My job is to score goals for the team and it is a great platform for me, looking that at the squad which they have here, which is a great squad with a lot of talent.”
Musonda, 30, won the Golden Boot in the 2018-19 season with his 16 goals for Black Leopards.
