Kick-off is at 3pm CAT (SA, GMT+2)
This will be the first match for both teams in the New Year after an extended mid-season break due to the Africa Cup of Nations taking place in Cameroon.
Tlesane Motaung's side will be hoping for a deeper run in the competition this year after bowing out at the first hurdle in 2021 following a 2-1 defeat to GladAfrica Championship rivals JDR Stars.
AmaTuks have reached the final on one occasion back in 2009 when they lost 1-0 to Moroka Swallows. They recorded a memorable 4-3 win over Kaizer Chiefs en route to the final.
After going all the way to the final last year, the Chilli Boys will be keen to avoid an upset and early exit this time around.
Chippa struggled in the Nedbank Cup initially upon their formation in 2010, failing to go further than the round of 32 in their first five seasons.
However, the PE-based club went as far as the semifinals in 2017 and 2019 before being knocked out by SuperSport United and Amakhosi respectively.
