TTM striker Rhulani Manzini says they “expect’ to beat SuperSport United in their Nedbank Cup quarterfinal at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Friday and hopes a sizeable crowd will turn up to witness their win.

Fans will be allowed back into the stadiums for a domestic match for the first time since mid-March 2020, with this fixture to kick-off the celebrations.

It is an intriguing battle between GladAfrica Championship side TTM and a depleted SuperSport who are short on attacking options.

“Our intentions are to make our supporters happy, since they are coming back to stadiums and we expect to win,” Manzini said

“I don’t think we are going to penalties. I think we will wrap it up in 90 minutes. We are not going to think that they are a Premiership team because we have experienced guys with young players as well.

“We are very prepared, even at training, you could see everyone is pushing, so we are well prepared.”

The experienced Manzini has eight goals in all competitions this season, including two in the Nedbank Cup.

He was part of the ‘other TTM’ (later renamed Marumo Gallants) last season who would go on and lift the trophy, but he had left the team by the time they reached the final.
