Ononogbu aims for more goals
Nkosinathi Ononogbu is the first player to hit the four-goal mark at the 31st edition of the Philly's Games.
Ononogbo has scored four goals in five outings. The striker chose South Africa over Nigeria as he has dual citizenship, his mother is South African and his father is from Nigeria, representing SA in junior football while also being included in the national team that played in the Chan qualifiers

The 23-year-old is currently without a club. At the start of the 2022-23 season, he had signed with Motsepe Foundation side Baroka FC, where he made four appearances, but the striker broke a rib and was let go by the club.
“I’m using the Philly’s Games to regain my confidence. I think I can compete at DStv Premiership level,” he said.
The Ambassadors player has been around for a while as he has also represented TS Sporting, JDR, Black Leopards and Marumo Gallants in the 2018-19 season.
The former Black Leopards midfielder did not feature much in the PSL in 2020-21 campaign, making 13 appearances overall and accumulating 504 minutes of playing time. He made the starting XI in seven of those appearances across their 30 fixtures and was a substitute on six occasions.
The last PSL game that Ononogbu played came on March 2021 for Black Leopards versus Mamelodi Sundowns; a match in which he played 45 minutes during a 1-1 draw. In total, he has notched one PSL goal in 2020-21.
His opening goal of the campaign came in the 2-1 loss against Swallows on 20 December. Ononogbu played 10 First Division games last season for JDR Stars and scored two goals. Before joining Black Leopards in September 2020, Ononogbu made 10 league appearances in total at JDR Stars.
