Real Betis v Getafe CF

Real Betis have lost four of their last five LaLiga games against Getafe (D1), including the last two while failing to score in both. Before this, they had lost just one of their previous five against them in the competition (W3 D1).

At home, Real Betis have lost just one of their last nine LaLiga games against Getafe (W3 D5), a 1-2 defeat in March 2019. However, they are winless in their last three such meetings (D2 L1) and never have failed to win four in a row at home against them in the competition.

After three straight wins away from home against Andalusian sides in LaLiga between 2018 and 2019, Getafe have won just one of their last five away games in the competition against such sides (D1 L3).

Real Betis have collected 14 points of the last 21 available in LaLiga (W4 D2 L1); they had only earned seven from the previous 21 in the competition beforehand (W2 D1 L4).

Getafe have lost their last three away LaLiga games, failing to score in the last two, while they last lost four or more in a row away from home in the top-flight in April 2016 (8).

Getafe have only lost one of their last 12 LaLiga games played on Friday (W5 D6), most recently against Granada in June 2020, while Real Betis have only won one of their last eight on this day (D4 L3), doing so in April 2018 vs Girona.

Getafe’s Ángel Rodríguez has scored in his two last LaLiga appearances against Real Betis (three goals in total, including a brace most recently in September 2020.

Borja Iglesias has scored in his last two LaLiga appearances at Benito Villamarín (two goals), netting as many goals as he had in his previous 23 games at home in the competition for Real Betis.

Real Betis’ Manuel Pellegrini has lost two of his last three LaLiga games against Getafe (W1), this after losing only one of his previous 15 against them in the competition (W11 D3).

Getafe’s José Bordalás has only lost one of his six away managerial games against Real Betis in all competitions (W3 D2), going down 0-3 in Liga Smartbank as Alcorcón boss in May 2015.

Elche CF v SD Eibar

Elche have won two of their three LaLiga games against Eibar, both 1-0 away from home, losing 0-2 in their only game at home against them in the top-flight (September 2014).

Elche have lost their last two home games against Eibar in all competitions, one in Liga Smartbank and another in LaLiga, this after avoiding defeat in their previous nine against them at Martínez Valero (W5 D4).

Elche are winless in their last 16 LaLiga games (D8 L8) since a win 2-1 over Valencia in October 2020; only once have they failed to win 17 or more in a row in a single season in the top-flight (19 between 1970 and 1971, D8 L11).

Eibar have failed to win their last six away LaLiga games, scoring exactly one goal in each such match and alternating between a drawn and a defeat in them (D3 L3).

Elche have collected a league-low four points via goals scored in the second half of their LaLiga games this season.

Elche’s Guido Carrillo has been directly involved in three goals in nine appearances in LaLiga 2020/21 (two goals and one assist), as many as in his previous full season for Leganés (one goal and two assists in 24 games).

Eibar’s Kike García has scored seven goals in 22 appearances in LaLiga 2020/21 and could equal his best tally in a single season in the competition (eight in 2017/18).

Bryan Gil has been involved in five of Eibar’s last seven goals in LaLiga (three goals and two assists), while he has scored or assisted in four of his last five appearances in the competition.

Elche’s Fran Escribá has won just one of his seven managerial LaLiga games against Eibar (D1 L5), winning 1-0 away from home in February 2015. Indeed, his has lost his last three such games against them.

Eibar’s José Luis Mendilibar has won four of his six managerial games against Elche in all competitions (L2), although he lost his last one in LaLiga, 0-1 in the reverse fixture this season.

Club Atlético de Madrid v Levante UD

Atlético de Madrid will play two games in a row against the same opponent for the sixth time in LaLiga, but this will be first time within a single season in the competition.

Levante are winless in their last 14 away LaLiga games against Atlético de Madrid (D1 L13), losing the last 11; only against Barcelona (15) they have lost more away games in the top-flight than they have against the Madrilean side (13).

Atlético de Madrid have avoided defeat in their last 12 home LaLiga games against Valencian sides (W9 D3) since a 0-1 loss to Villarreal in April 2017.

Atlético de Madrid are unbeaten in their last 22 home LaLiga games (W17 D5) since a 0-1 defeat to Barcelona in December 2019. They have avoided defeat in 23 or more in a row at home in the competition once previously under Diego Simeone, doing so between 2013 and 2014 (27 games - W21 D6).

Levante won their last away LaLiga game 2-1 against Real Madrid, this after failing to win their previous eight on the road in the competition (D4 L4). They last won two or more in a row away from home in the competition in October 2018.

Luis Suárez has scored six of Atlético de Madrid’s last 11 goals in LaLiga at Wanda Metropolitano, three coming in the first half and three in the second half, including two braces, one vs Elche and another vs Celta de Vigo.

Roger Martí has scored three of the Levante’s last four goals away from home in LaLiga. Indeed, in 2020/21, he has equalled his best tally away from home in a single season in the top-flight (four, alongside 2018/19).

Since the restart of the competition in June, Atlético de Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente is the second player to reach double figures for both goals (10) and assists (10) in LaLiga, after Lionel Messi (21 and 12).

Diego Simeone could win 308 games as Atlético de Madrid manager in all competitions (GP509 W307 D120 L82), which would be the joint-most wins by an Atlético de Madrid boss alongside Luis Aragonés (GP612 W308 D135 L169).

Levante boss Paco López has managed more LaLiga games without winning against Atlético de Madrid than versus any other team in the competition (G6 W0 D2 L4).

Valencia CF v RC Celta de Vigo

Valencia have lost two of their last three LaLiga games against Celta de Vigo (W1), as many defeats as in their previous 11 games against them in the competition (W5 D4).

At home, Valencia have just lost one of their last 11 LaLiga games against Celta de Vigo (W7 D3), going down 0-2 in March 2016, when Celta de Vigo’s Hugo Mallo scored his first goal away from home in the competition.

Valencia have lost three of their 11 LaLiga games in 2020/21 played at Mestalla (W3 D5), their highest tally of losses at home at this stage of the season in the top-flight since 2016/17 (W4 D2 L5).

Celta de Vigo won their last LaLiga game 3-1 against Elche, ending a run of six games in a row without a win in the competition (D3 L3). Only once this season they have won consecutive league games (four between November and December 2020).

Valencia have collected 24 points after their first 23 LaLiga 2020/21 games (W5 D9 L9), their lowest tally at this stage of the season in the top-flight since 1985/86 (22 points, assuming three points per win), a season when they were relegated for the only time in the top-flight.

Celta de Vigo have scored a league-high 62% of their goals in the first half this season (18/29).

Valencia’s Carlos Soler has scored in two of his four LaLiga appearances at Mestalla against Celta de Vigo (two goals in total) and in those two games, his goal was the winning goal (3-2 in April 2017 and 1-0 in February 2020).

Iago Aspas has scored five goals in his last six LaLiga appearances for Celta de Vigo against Valencia, including a brace in the reverse fixture this season at Balaídos.

Santi Mina has scored four of Celta de Vigo’s last seven goals in LaLiga, scoring in each of his last two appearances in the competition; he last scored in three LaLiga games in a row in January 2017 (3).

Valencia’s Javi Gracia has won two of his three home managerial LaLiga games against Celta de Vigo (L1), both as Málaga boss and keeping a clean sheet in each.

Real Valladolid v Real Madrid

Real Valladolid have failed to win each of their last 12 LaLiga games against Real Madrid, losing 10 of them (D2), since a win 1-0 in November 2008.

At home, Real Valladolid are winless in their last five LaLiga games against Real Madrid (D1 L4), losing the last two; they never have lost three in a row at home against them in the competition.

Real Valladolid have conceded seven goals in a single LaLiga game two times in the 21st century, both against Real Madrid away from home (2-7 in September 2003 and 0-7 in February 2008).

Real Valladolid have failed to win their last six LaLiga games (D3 L3) since a win 1-0 away from home vs Getafe in January, and they last won at José Zorrilla in the competition in December 2020, 3-2 vs Osasuna (D1 L3 since).

Real Madrid have lost just one of their last 17 away LaLiga games (W11 D5), going down 4-1 vs Valencia last November.

Real Madrid have scored six goals from outside the box in LaLiga 2020/21, only one fewer than in the whole of last season (7) and one more than in 2018/19 (5).

Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema has been directly involved in eight goals in 10 LaLiga appearances against Real Valladolid (five goals and three assists). He has played 10 games against them in the competition, each as a starter, more than against any other opponent.

Only against Real Valladolid has Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior scored more than one goal in LaLiga (2), scoring in two of his three appearances against them in the top-flight.

Real Valladolid’s Roque Mesa scored in his last LaLiga appearance (v Eibar), ending a run of 24 games without scoring in the competition. This goal was his only penalty goal in the top-flight (147 appearances).

Real Valladolid’s Sergio González has managed eight LaLiga games against Real Madrid without a win (D1 L7); against no side has he done so more without tasting victory (level with Atlético de Madrid, eight, D2 L6).

FC Barcelona v Cádiz CF

After six wins in a row between 1991 and 2006, Barcelona lost their last LaLiga game against Cádiz, 1-2 in the reverse fixture this season while they never have failed to win in two games in a single LaLiga season against them.

Only against Atlético de Madrid (92.3% - GP13 W0 D1 L12) have Cádiz posted a higher loss percentage in away games in LaLiga than against Barcelona (91.7% - GP12 W0 D1 L11).

Barcelona have just lost one of their last 19 home LaLiga games against Andalusian sides (W16 D2), 3-4 vs Real Betis in November 2018.

Barcelona have collected 21 out of 21 points available in their last seven LaLiga games (W7) after winning only 19 of the previous 39 (W5 D4 L4).

Cádiz are winless in their last seven away LaLiga games (D2 L5), losing the last two, and haven´t lost three in a row away from home this season.

After winning 2-1 vs Barcelona in the reverse fixture this season, Cádiz could become the first newly promoted side to win two games against them in the same LaLiga season since Salamanca in 1998/99.

Antoine Griezmann has been involved in seven goals in his last six LaLiga appearances for Barcelona (three goals and four assists), as many as in his previous 33 games in the competition (five goals and two assists).

Barcelona’s Lionel Messi has scored against 37 of the 40 sides he has faced in LaLiga, he has failed to do it only against Cádiz (two apps), Xerez (two apps) and Real Murcia (one app).

Lionel Messi will become the Barcelona player with the most appearances in LaLiga ever, passing Xavi Hernández (both currently on 505).

Cádiz’s Álvaro Negredo has been involved in three goals in his last six LaLiga appearances against Barcelona (two goals and one assist) but he has failed to score or provide an assist in his five games against them in the competition at Camp Nou.

Real Sociedad v Deportivo Alavés

Real Sociedad are winless in their last two LaLiga games against Alavés (D1 L1), failing to score in both while they have never failed to score in three in a row against them in the top-flight.

Real Sociedad could fail to win the both league games against Alavés in a single LaLiga season for the first time since 2001/02 (L2), after drawing 0-0 in the reverse fixture this term.

At home, Real Sociedad have won five of their last six LaLiga games against Alavés (L1) with their only defeat in this run coming via a 0-1 in December 2018, in Ander Barrenetxea’s first appearance in LaLiga.

Real Sociedad have avoided defeat in their last six home LaLiga games against Basque sides (W4 D2), since a defeat 0-2 vs Alavés in December 2018, while Alavés won their last away game in the competition vs a Basque side (2-0 vs Eibar) but have never won two in a row away from home against such sides.

Real Sociedad have won their last two LaLiga games after winning only one of their previous 11 in the competition (W1 D6 L4).

Alavés are winless in their last six away LaLiga games (D2 L4), their longest run without a win away from home in the competition this season.

Real Sociedad’s Mikel Oyarzabal has been involved in three goals in a single LaLiga game only once, vs Alavés in September 2019 at Reale Arena (two goals and one assist).

Alavés’s Deyverson has scored two goals in total in his last three LaLiga appearances against Real Sociedad, one at Reale Arena in March 2016 and another at Mendizorrotza in March 2017.

Alexander Isak has scored at least one goal in each of his last five LaLiga games (six goals in total) and he could become in the first Real Sociedad player to score in six in a row in the competition since Darko Kovacevic in September 2002 (eight goals).

Alavés’s Abelardo Fernández has only won two of his six LaLiga games as a manager against Real Sociedad (D1 L3), picking up one win, one draw and one defeat against them as a visitor.

SD Huesca v Granada CF

The only previous LaLiga meeting between Huesca and Granada finished 3-3, in the reverse fixture this season. In all competitions, Huesca have only won one of their five games against them (D2 L2), 2-1 in April 2018 in Liga Smartbank.

Granada have failed to win in their two games against Huesca at El Alcoraz (D1 L1), both in Liga Smartbank, 0-0 in December 2010 and 1-2 in April 2018.

After winning their first two home LaLiga games against Andalusian sides, both 2-1 in 2019, Huesca have lost their last three against these teams in the competition at El Alcoraz, failing to score in those three clashes.

Huesca have only collected 16 points from their first 23 LaLiga 2020/21 games (W2 D10 L11) and in the 19 previous occasions when a side has collected 16 or fewer points at this stage of the season in the top-flight in a 20-team league, only Real Zaragoza in 2011/12 (15 points) avoided relegation.

Granada are winless in their last five LaLiga games (D3 L2) and they last failed to win in six or more in a row in a single season in the competition in May 2017 (GP13 D1 L12).

Huesca have lost more points via goals conceded in the last 15 minutes of games than any other side in LaLiga this season (6), while only Sevilla (12), Levante and Betis (9) have won more points via goals scored in that period than Granada (8).

Granada’s Jorge Molina has been involved in one goal in each of his last three LaLiga appearances against Huesca (two goals and one assist).

Huesca’s Sandro Ramírez scored his only LaLiga brace in April 2017 against Granada, as a Málaga player.

Granada’s Yangel Herrera has been involved in two goals in total in his last three LaLiga games (one goal and one assist), as many as in his previous 19 appearances in the competition (two goals).

Huesca’s José Rojo “Pacheta” has managed three games against Granada in all competitions, winning one, drawing one and losing one, two in Liga Smartabank and one in Copa del Rey.

Athletic Club v Villarreal CF

Athletic have won just one of their last five games against Villarreal in LaLiga (D3 L1), 1-0 in the last fixture at San Mamés in the competition (March 2020).

At home, Athletic have suffered just one defeat in their last eight meetings with Villarreal in LaLiga (W4 D3), 0-3 in September 2018, keeping a clean sheet in five of those eight meetings.

If they win this match, Athletic will record their 900th victory at home in LaLiga, becoming the third team to reach that milestone in the competition after Real Madrid (1111) and Barcelona (1103).

Athletic have won two of their five LaLiga games with Marcelino García Toral as coach (D1 L2) but both by a margin of four goals – the last time they won consecutive victories by that margin or greater in the competition was in February 1984 (5-0 vs Sevilla and 4-0 vs Mallorca).

Villarreal have not won any of their last five games in LaLiga (D4 L1) and the last time they went six without a win in the competition was in December 2019 (D2 L4), with Javier Calleja as coach.

The last three goals netted by Athletic’s Raúl García against Villarreal in LaLiga have been winning goals – one with Atlético de Madrid in April 2014 and two with his current club, in November 2016 and March 2020, with all of those games finishing 1-0.

Villarreal’s Paco Alcácer has scored in two of his last three matches against Athletic in LaLiga, both as a Barcelona player (two goals in total) but has failed to score in his four visits to San Mamés in the competition.

Gerard Moreno is the top-scoring Spaniard in LaLiga this season (13) and is currently enjoying his joint-best streak of scoring in consecutive games in a single LaLiga season (four games in a row, five goals), along with his first four games of 2019/20.

Athletic coach Marcelino García Toral has only won one of his last nine games as a manager against Villarreal in LaLiga (D4 L4), via the last one - 3-0 with Valencia in January 2019.

Villarreal coach Unai Emery has lost on his last three visits to Athletic in LaLiga, all of them with Sevilla, after winning the previous three, in charge of Valencia.

Club Atlético Osasuna v Sevilla FC

After four consecutive victories against Sevilla in LaLiga between 2004 and 2006, Osasuna have only won two of their last 21 games against them in the top-flight (D6 L13), 3-2 in May 2011 and 2-1 in May 2013.

Sevilla have won on two of their last three visits to Osasuna in LaLiga (D1), after winning just one of their previous 13 (D6 L6), 0-2 in September 2009.

Osasuna have only won two of their last 13 LaLiga matches against Andalusian opponents (D2 L9), 2-0 vs Cádiz in September 2020 and 3-1 vs Granada last January, failing to score in eight of those 13 encounters.

Osasuna have won three of their last four LaLiga matches (L1), after failing to win any of their previous 13 in the competition (D6 L7), including the last two, and they’ve not won three in a row since July 2020 (3).

Sevilla have picked up 45 points from their first 22 matches in LaLiga 2020/21, only once before accruing more at this stage in the top-flight (46 in 2016/17) while their 16 goals conceded in this campaign is their lowest defensive total at this point in the competition’s history.

Only Real Madrid (18G W14 D2 L2) have scored the first goal of the match in LaLiga more times this season than Sevilla (G17 W13 D3 L1). Julen Lopetegui's team have only lost one game after scoring the first goal in this league campaign, in October 2020 against Athletic (2-1).

Sevilla’s Munir El-Haddadi has been involved in three goals in total in his two matches against Osasuna in LaLiga (two goals and one assist), with both matches played at El Sadar.

Ante Budimir has scored four of Osasuna's last six LaLiga goals and has scored in three consecutive games in the top-flight for the first time in his career.

If he appears in this match, Sevilla’s Aleix Vidal will play his 150th game in LaLiga - He has played 149 matches with four different teams (29 with Alavés, 38 with Almería, 30 with Barcelona and 52 with his current team).

Osasuna's coach Jagoba Arrasate has managed six LaLiga games against Sevilla without winning any of them (D2 L4), more than against any other rival in the top-flight.
