Athletic have lost only one of their last 10 LaLiga games played on a Friday (W5 D4), 0-2 vs Celta de Vigo in December 2020, and Cádiz are unbeaten in their four played on this day in the competition (W2 D2).

Cádiz have won two of their last four away LaLiga games against Basque sides (D1 L1), after failing to win in their previous 26 away from home against such teams in the competition (D5 L21).

Athletic have lost just one of their 11 games in LaLiga 2021-22 (W4 D6), 1-2 vs Rayo Vallecano in September – their current tally of 18 points is their best points return at this stage since 2013/14 when they finished 4th (20 points).

Cádiz have conceded 19 goals after their first 12 LaLiga 2021-22 games (W1 D6 L5), their most at this stage of the season since the 1987-88 (also 19).

Álex Berenguer is on his longest goalless run for Athletic in LaLiga (17 appearances) while he scored his only brace in the competition last February against Cádiz.

Cádiz’s Álvaro Negredo has scored six goals in 17 LaLiga games against Athletic but he has failed to score in his last six appearances against them in the competition – his last goal against them in the league was a brace in April 2013 as Sevilla player.

Athletic’s Iker Muniain has created 39 chances in LaLiga 2021-22, more than any other player in the top five European Leagues – he has been involved in five league goals this season (two goals and three assists), winning six points for his team.
