TS Galaxy remained unbeaten with Adnan Beganovic at the helm after they played out to a goalless draw with Magesi at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on Saturday.

The Rockets have now picked up 12 points since Beganovic replaced Sead Ramovic as head coach and they moved up one place to ninth in the Betway Premiership standings, still one point behind Golden Arrows, who also drew 0-0 with AmaZulu in a concurrent match.

Galaxy were looking to keep the momentum going under the Bosnian, who had yet to taste defeat in his opening five matches at the helm and guided them to a 3-1 win over Royal AM last time out.

Owen Da Gama, who took over the reins from Clinton Larsen on 30 December, was hoping to arrest a four-game losing streak which left Magesi rooted to the foot of the table, two points adrift of safety.

The hosts bossed possession in the first half and rained shots down on the opposition goal, forcing Elvis Chipezeze to make three saves as well as being denied by the woodwork on one occasion.

Five of Galaxy's 10 attempts came from outside the box, while the visitors had two sniffs at goal from inside the 18-yard area, but failed to take their chances.

The Rockets continued to see plenty of the ball in the second half and created a few early opportunities without testing Chipezeze and it was Ira Tape who was called into action for the first time in the closing stages to deny Dikwena tsa Meetse a first win in nine outings.

Galaxy had a glorious chance to snatch all three points late on, but Chipezeze pulled off a fine save to ensure a share of the spoils for rock-bottom Magesi.
