Pretoria Capitals captain, Rilee Rossouw, won the toss and chose to bowl first in their SA20 match against the Paarl Royals at Boland Park in Paarl on Saturday afternoon.

On a sweltering day and another low, slow pitch the home side have selected no less than four specialist spinners with Joe Root providing as fifth option with his off-spin while the visitors have three spinners including opener Will Jacks who also bowl off-spin.

The Royals have been in rampant form with five wins from their six matches and top the log with 20 points, one ahead of the Sunrisers Eastern Cape but with a match in hand on the defending champions who have won four from seven.

The Capitals have just a single victory from their six matches so far but four points from two ‘no-results’ give them nine points and place them fifth, one ahead of the Durban Super Giants and one behind the Jo’burg Super Kings who have 10 points.
