Kaizer Chiefs will be determined to get their DStv Premiership top eight bid back on track when they host TS Galaxy at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday.

Kick-off is at 7:30pm CAT (SA,GMT+2)

CURRENT FORM

Amakhosi are licking their wounds at the moment after being hammered 5-1 by Mamelodi Sundowns at home on 2 May for their fourth defeat in their last five matches.

Chiefs are occupying eighth spot in the DStv Premiership standings - two points behind seventh-placed Cape Town City and two points above 12th-placed AmaZulu FC.

Meanwhile, Galaxy played to a 0-0 draw with Sekhukhune United away on 3 May and the Rockets are now winless in their last two matches.

As a result, Galaxy are in fifth spot in the DStv Premiership standings - two points behind fourth-placed Sekhukhune United and three points above seventh-placed Cape Town City.

TEAM NEWS

Both teams have suspension concerns coming into this encounter with Given Msimango and Orebotse Mongae unavailable to play.

Chiefs defender Msimango and Galaxy attacker Mongae were shown straight red cards in the matches against Sundowns last week.

WHAT WAS SAID?

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Cavin Johnson

“We have to go back to the drawing board," Johnson said after the defeat to Sundowns.

"And we have to pull up our socks because the Chiefs you saw in the last 15 minutes is not the Chiefs I know or coach. We're disappointed and we're going to fix it.”

TS Galaxy head coach Sead Ramovic

"They are a great team since their current coach [Lehlohonolo Seema] came in. They are strong, it is difficult to get points here," Ramovic said after the draw with Sekhukhune.

"We have five more 'finals' in front of us. We need at least five or six points to reach our goal, which is to be in the top eight. We will try our best."

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Mduduzi Shabalala, Kaizer Chiefs: The in-form attacker has scored in each of his last two matches against SuperSport United and Sundowns. Shabalala could be the player to propel Chiefs to a much-needed win.

Samir Nurkovic, TS Galaxy: The former Chiefs striker has managed to revive his career under Ramovic having scored 10 goals this season. Nurkovic will be eager to haunt Chiefs by inspring Galaxy to a win.
