Hawassa host Fasil Kenema, Hadiya Hosanna take on Mekelakeya

The full complement of First week matches of the BetKing Ethiopian Premier league will be a weekend clash between Hawassa and Fasil Kenema, and Hadiya Hossana up against Mekelakeya 

 The first match of the day at Adama Science and Technology University Stadium sees  Wubetu Abate's Fasil Kenema will hosting Zereay Mulu's Hawassa Kenema.

Wubetu Abate will face his former team Hawassa Kenema. It will also be his first league match after his come back to Emperors.

Fasil have signed some big-name players in the league, like Getaneh Kebede, Gatuoch Panom, Amanuel Gebreselassie etc.

The team already has other high-profile player like Surafel Dagnachew and Shimket Gugsa. 

The former Ethiopian National team coach Wubetu will have good squad to compete for the title on the season.

Hawassa Kenema on the other hand have also signed some good players like thier former player Taffese Solomon , Million Solomon , Charles Lukwago also.

They were semifinalists in Sidama Gofere Cup.

It's Zereay Mulu's third season on the League so they expect a good table finishing on the table.

It's remembered that Hawassa Kenema are the two-time league champions.

On the other match of the day Yohannes Sahile's Hadiya Hosanna will face Gebrekirstos Birara's Mekelakeya.

The former Mekelakeya Coach, Yohannes Sahilestrened his squad and they had a good run during on the pre- season time.

The team reached for the final of Addis Ababa City cup.

Mekelakeya did not live up to the hype last season after signing the most experienced Stars in the league and they have been quite active in the recent transfer window signing a few more experienced players.

Shimeles Bekele who is the captain of Mekelakeya and the vice-captain Aschalew Girma are the two of good signings for them.

The Defence force as they are known are hoping to have another crack on the league title this season to match their big budget.
