Sidama Coffee bounced back in style with an incredible 4-1 win over Wolaitta Dicha, and Shashemene City played out a 1-1 draw with Adama City on Sunday.

The Sidama result is one of the least expected outcomes considering their poor recent run of form.

Sidama Coffee went 1-0 up in the 21st minute through Habtamu Gezahegn, a goal that shook the Wolaitta defence.

They led 1-0 going into the break and Wolaitta came out smoking hot in the second half, looking for a quick equalizer but were soon caught out.

Bezabh Melayo, once the lynchpin for Fasil Kenema, showed he had not lost any of his opportunism when he got on the end of a swift counterattack to score the second goal on 48 minutes, making it 2-0 to Sidama Coffee.

Wolaitta Dicha pulled one back in the 72nd minute, with Yonathan Elias on target.

However, their euphoria was shortlived as Sidama scored a third goal three minutes later through Michael Kporul, while Bulcha Shura completed the rout in the 87th minute, making it 4-1 in the end.

SHASHEMENE DRAW

Shashemene City finally got some joy in the league when they came from a goal down to earn a 1-1 draw with Adama City.

Adama City's young striker Yosef Tarekegn, arguably Ethiopian football's rising star, scored in the 21st minute to give Adama a 1-0 lead.

The lead lasted well into the last minutes of the game when Muluken Tariku produced a stunning equalizer for Shashemene City, ending the encounter in a 1-1 stalemate.
