George Kambosas Jr wins IBF title eliminator

Former undisputed world lightweight champion George Kambosas returned to action after suffering two losses against Devin Haney, to win a hard fought twelve round majority points decision over Maxi Hughes in an IBF lightweight title eliminator at the FireLake Arena in Shawnee, Oklahoma on Saturday night.
The scores were 117-111, 115-113 and 114-114.
The 4-1 favourite Kambosas battled against the awkward Hughes in a fight that never rose to any heights. .

Kambosas Jr. improved his record to 21-2; 10 and Hughes ‘record dropped to 29-4-1; 26.
UNDERCARD
In a lightweight bout Olympic silver medallist Keyshawn Davis 9-0; 6 outscored former European champion Francesco Patera 28-4; 10 over ten rounds. Davis scored a knockdown in the eighth round to win with scores of 100-89 twice and 99-90.
Welterweight Giovani Santillan 31-0; 16 won on a ten-round unanimous points decision against Erick Bone 27-7; 14 in a hard-fought encounter. The scores were 98-92, 97-93 and 97-92.
In a heavyweight clash, Jeremiah “Dreamland” Milton 10-0; 7 won against the overmatched Willie “Lump Lump” Harvey 4-3-2; 3, when Harvey did not come out for round five.
Kiwi heavyweight Hemi Ahio 22-1; 17 won on a sixth-round stoppage against Amron Sands 12-3; 9. The time was 2:12.
Australian heavyweight Joseph Goodall 10-1-1; 8 won on a sixth-round technical knockout against Stephan “Big Shot” Shaw 18-1; 13.
US Olympian, middleweight Troy Isley 9-0; 4 outscored Antonio Todd 14-8; 8 over eight rounds.
SERHII BOHACHUK WINS IN ONE ROUND
Serhii “El Flaco” Bohachuk 23-1; 23 the No 2 rated WBC junior middleweight smashed Patrick Allotey 42-5; 32 to defeat in the first round to retain the WBC Continental Americas title on Saturday night at the Chumash Casino Resort in Santa Ynez, California.
A big right hand sent Allotey down on his face as he just about beat the count, but referee Jack Reiss waved it off.
Featherweight Omar Trinidad 13-0-1; 10 stopped Roberto ‘The Ram’ Meza 15-4-1; 8 in the sixth round. Meza was down in the third and fifth rounds before Meza’s corner threw in the towel in round six. .
Umar Dzambekov 6-0; 4 outpointed Kwame Ritter 10-1; 8 in a bout between unbeaten light heavyweights. The scores were 79-73 twice and 78-74.
Junior welterweight Cain Sandoval 10-0; 10 won on a sixth-round stoppage against Jose Marruffo 14-12-2; 2. Sandoval dropped Marruffo in the second round.
THOMAS LAMANNA WINS IN THE THIRD ROUND
Middleweight Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna 35-5-1; 14 who is rated at No 4 by the WBA smashed Juan Manuel “El Principito” Witt 33-1-2; 25 to defeat in the third round on Saturday night at the Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.
LaManna was in control from the opening round and the stoppage came after Witt was down three times in round three.
LaManna won the WBA Federation title.
In a heavyweight contest, Kristian Prenga 14-1; 14 won at 1:22 into the first round against Santander Sligado 32-16; 26.
Junior middleweight Justin “Time “Figueroa 6-0; 5 won on points over six rounds against Jeff “Relentless” Lentz 5-2; 1.
In a super middleweight bout Nadim Salloum 11-1; 4 stopped Antonio Ocles 12-13; 3 in the second round.
ANDRES SOSA WINS IBO FEATHERWEIGHT TITLE
Hector Andres Sosa 16-2; 9 knocked out the two-time world title challenger Jazza Dickens32-5; 12 in the tenth round to take Dickens’ IBO featherweight title on Saturday night at the Dubai Studio City in Dubai, UAE.
Sosa landed a big right hand that sent Dickens down and out to the canvas.
DOUBLE WORLD TITLE BILL IN JAPAN
Teiken Promotions have announced a twin world title bill on 18 September in Tokyo with WBC, WBA light flyweight champion Tenshiro Teraji 21-1; 13 defending only his WBC title against the mandatory challenger Hekkie Budler 35-4; 11 from South Africa, in the main event.
On the same card WBO junior bantam champion Junto Nakatani, 25-0; 19 defends his title against the WBO No 9 rated Argi Cortes 25-3-2; 10 of Mexico.
