BACK ON TOP

Max Verstappen climbed back to the top of the timesheets at the end of FP3. The Dutchman will need to replicate that performance in Qualifying to limit the damage of a grid penalty awaiting him.

Appendicitis ended Alex Albon’s participation in Italy but that opened the door for Nick de Vries to impress in his place.

Due to the grid penalties faced by most of the front runners, strategy was a hot topic ahead of qualifying .

TIFOSI DELIGHT

The Tifosi did not mind that the end of qualifying being quite anticlimactic, as it was one of their own who topped the timesheets, sending them into raptures for Charles Leclerc.

RISKS PAY OFF

Leclerc gave everything he had in Q3 and the risk paid off as the Monegasque claimed his eighth pole of the season.
