Power Dynamos will have their MTN Super League championship credentials tested when they play in-form local rivals Nkana FC in the Kitwe Derby on Saturday, looking to extend their wafer-thin lead at the top of the table.

The match will actually be staged in Ndola, but is likely to be a fierce clash between two sides who will have their eye on the championship this season.

Dynamos have 28 points from 14 games, the same number as Kabwe Warriors. Both teams have a +12 goal difference, but Dynamos have scored two more goals.

Nkana FC are six points back but will view this as the perfect chance to make up ground on the leaders.

They have won five of their last six games (L1) and are in their best form in several seasons. But they come up against a Dynamos team with seven wins from their last eight (L1).

The last six meetings have produced three wins each, which means there is little to choose between the sides.

Warriors are at home to Napsa Stars, who have tended to blow hot and cold this season. The home side are on a five game winning run that has seen them shoot up the table and they will expect to add to that on Saturday.

Stars are unbeaten in four against Warriors (W3 D1) so might have some confidence going into the game.

ZESCO FACE LUMWANA

They welcome Lumwana Radiants, who ended a five-game losing streak with victory over Mutondo Stars last time out. The have not won back-to-back games in almost two years though.

Champions Red Arrows will hope to build some momentum in their stuttering season when they travel to bottom side Indeni, who have taken three points from a possible 42 so far this campaign.

Arrows have won only six of their 14 games and badly need a run of results as they have fallen six points behind the leaders.

Green Eagles sit four points off the top of the table and go to Green Buffaloes for their next fixture. The latter will overtake Eagles with a win, but have lost their last two games.

Eagles are unbeaten in six games (W4 D2), but lost both fixtures to Buffaloes last season.

In other games this weekend, Zanaco host on Nchanga Rangers and FC Muza welcome Nkwazi on Saturday.

On Sunday, Mutondo Stars host Atletico Lusaka and Mufulira Wanderers go to Forest Rangers.
