As arguably the most in form team in the Motsepe Foundation Championship at the moment, Orbit College bagged their fifth consecutive victory in the league with a 2-0 result against Cape Town Spurs in matchday 10 at the Olympia Park Stadium on Saturday.

The result saw Orbit accumulate 19 points in their opening 10 matches and currently occupy second spot on the table.

Spurs on the other hand, extended their winless streak to six matches and are now on a run of three straight defeats in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

Then, in one of the most keenly anticipated fixtures in South Africa’s first division this week, Durban City bagged a 5-2 win against JDR Stars at the Chatsworth Stadium on Friday afternoon.

In an attempt to pile on the pressure high up the table, Durban City ended the latest game week in third position, five points behind Milford FC.

Elsewhere, log leaders Milford extended their unbeaten run to three matches with a nervy 1-0 win against Upington City at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Sunday.

With the likes of Orbit and Durban City hot on their heels, Milford maintained their four-point gap at the summit of the table following their latest Motsepe Foundation Championship assignment.

Over at the Tuks Stadium, the University of Pretoria and Venda Football Academy shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw on Sunday afternoon.

AmaTuks have now jotted down two stalemates and a defeat in their last three league ties, while Venda slumped to the bottom of the log once more.
