Groepes tests combinations as Daisies face Jukskei derby

Bulls Daisies mentor Hayden Groepes has shuffled his side around, testing new combinations in different roles ahead of the Jukskei derby in Johannesburg on Saturday, 8 March at 1,30pm at the Wits Rugby Club.

Groepes has brought Doreen Mkhabele into the front row, a straight swap with Yonela Ngxingolo who moves to the impact squad. Mkahbele starts alongside Xolelwa Diliza - at hooker - and Sanelisiwe Charlie.

Behind the trio, Ziyanda Ngohlekana gets a new lockmate in Busisiwe Crafford, with Anathi Qolo shifting to the reserves. The surprise move of the weekend will be front rower Micke Gunter starting at loose forward, where she will be partnering up with Faith Tshauke and Sophy Mashapa, who complete the third row. Gunter slots into the role with Sizophila Solontsi rested.

Skipper Libbie Janse van Rensburg shifts to flyhalf this week, where she will marshal the troops alongside scrum half Unam Tose at halfback. Janse van Rensburg's shift to the middle of the field sees Zintle Nonkasana coming into the starting XV, where she slots into the fullback role. The speed queens, Shaunique Alexander and Patience Mokone, have been retained at left and right wing, respectively.

The Qawe sisters will get their first start as a centre pairing. Chumisa slots into her renowned role on the inside, while her sibling will run on the outside of the centre.

The defending champions will also have the likes of Karabo Lebotsa, Asithandile Ntoyanto, Anathi Qolo, Lerato Makua and Mahlatse Nkumishe, who all form part of the five-three split impact squad.
