AmaZulu were unable to capitalise on their chances as they played to a goalless stalemate against Golden Arrows at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday afternoon in the Betway Premiership.

AmaZulu dominated possession throughout the game and within the first 10 minutes of play, Rowan Human did well to dribble his way into the box and have a shot on goal.

His effort was blocked and Tshepang Moremi came with the follow-up but it was saved by Watenga before Ekstein struck the crossbar.

As the half progressed, in-form Arrows attacker Ryan Moon fired a shot at goal but it scraped the roof of the net.

Nduduzo Sibiya had an opportunity to open the scoring for Abafana Bes’Thende as he took a set piece but Usuthu goalkeeper Richard Ofori came to the rescue and made the save.

After a highly-contested first half, the scoreline was goalless in the Durban Derby.

The second half followed more or less the same trend, with Usuthu working hard to open the scoring.

Wayde Jooste played a great ball for Etiosa Ighodaro, but the striker could not direct his header on target.

In the final 10 minutes of play, AmaZulu had a final push but were denied by the crossbar once again as Ighodaro directed his effort on goal after receiving a square pass from Riaan Hanamub.

Moremi once again had an opportunity and actually put the ball into the back of the net, but the match officials deemed him offside.

It was a frustrating afternoon for the home team as they had to share the spoils with Arrows in the KZN derby.
