Toyota Cheetahs versus NovaVit Griffons game cancelled due to bad weather

The Currie Cup Premier Division clash between the Toyota Cheetahs and the NovaVit Griffons, which was scheduled to kick off at 19h05 in Bloemfontein on Friday, has been cancelled due to bad weather.

Initially, the Round-Eight fixture was delayed to 19h15 as a result of the heavy downpour. But, 45 seconds into the game, the lights at the stadium also went out.

While players remained active on the pitch before leaving the field, the match was eventually called off more than an hour later as the torrential conditions continued.

An official announcement in terms of rescheduling of the match will to follow.
