DStv Premiership club Marumo Gallants have announced several significant updates ahead of the 2024/2025 football season.

Confirming previous reports, the club will relocate to Bloemfontein for the upcoming season. Their home games are set to be played at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium, with larger fixtures hosted at the iconic Free State Stadium, promising fans a top-tier football experience.

The club expressed profound gratitude for the warm reception from Free State supporters and stakeholders.

Regarding the club’s identity following their purchase of the status of Moroka Swallows, the team confirmed it will compete under the name Marumo Gallants F.C. for the current season. Any future changes to the name will be communicated accordingly, the club said.

In personnel updates, Marumo welcomed Dylan Kerr as the new head coach. The club confirmed the inclusion of retained Swallows players with valid contracts and negotiated the transfer of certain players from the former Gallants National First Division (NFD) team to the topflight.

Players with existing contracts will either join the PSL squad or remain with the NFD team following its sale.

The club will release the selected squad list and technical team roster once all signings are finalised.

Coach Kerr outlined the club's commitment to football development in Bloemfontein, emphasizing Gallants’ vision to foster community engagement and uphold the football passion synonymous with the Free State province.

In addition, the club announced the appointment of former chairman Abram Sello as President.

Sello will oversee the club’s strategic management in the upcoming season.
