The 31-year-old joins Sandile Mthethwa and Bongani Zungu as recent additions as AmaZulu chase a top eight finish this season after a disappointing last campaign.
“I’m happy to be here and excited to score more goals with the team. The support I’ve received since my arrival has been incredible,” said Kambindu in a statement released by the club on Tuesday.
“To the fans, I encourage you to show up in numbers to support us, and we’ll deliver on the field.”
Kambindu joins after two-and-a-half seasons at Chippa where he scored five goals in 22 starts. He has not found the back of the net this season.
AmaZulu have also confirmed the promotion of Tebogo Mashigo (22) and winger Siphosenkosi Ngubane (21) from the reserves to the first team squad while sending out goalkeeper Olwethu Mzimela (23) and defensive midfielder Siyanda Hlabangeza (22) on loan to Durban City.
The pair will spend the remainder of the season at the Motsepe Foundation Championship leaders
