Ex-All Black Gibbes leaves Lyon role for Chiefs job
Former New Zealand back-rower Jono Gibbes has left his role as a coaching advisor to Lyon, the French club announced on Monday.
Gibbes had arrived at the Top 14 club on a short-term basis earlier in the season alongside director of rugby Fabien Gengenbacher.
The 47-year-old will return to New Zealand to work with the Chiefs in Super Rugby Pacific.
Lyon sit in the relegation play-off place in 13th in the French top flight after 11 rounds of the season.
The Chiefs begin their new season on February 15.
