Springbok centre Damian de Allende's Panasonic Wild Knights continued their unbeaten run in Japan League One this weekend.

With Premiership Rugby and Top 14 on a break, the overseas Springboks in League One were the sole action for the weekend.

De Allende would show a turn of pace down the wing for the Knights, crashing over in the corner for a well-worked team try in the eighth minute of their clash against Mitsubishi Dynaboars.

That signaled the beginning of a 49-point run in the opening half alone as the Knights - who also had Springbok Lood de Jager in their ranks - ran out 61-29 winners, extending their winning streak to 12 matches.

Also showing his moves down the touchline was Bok hooker Malcolm Marx. The fleetfooted Marx swung his hips and ran around his defender, almost leading to a score for the Kubota Spears. Marx would also extend his tryscoring run, notching up the only points of the opening half as the Spears edged the Canon Eagles 15-5 in the heavy rain.

Springbok duo Faf de Klerk and Jessie Kriel started for the Eagles, who are currently in the final playoff spot (fourth) in the League One table.

The tireless Pieter-Steph du Toit got just reward for his efforts at Toyota Verblitz. The utility forward scored twice for Verblitz, who went down 19-18 to the visiting Toshiba Brave Lupus. Willie le Roux was once again slotting in at flyhalf for Verblitz.

Finally, Shizuoka Blue Revs' talismanic captain, Kwagga Smith, was forced out of action this past weekend due to injury. But the team shrugged off the Springbok's absence, beating the Black Rams 19-15.
