The 2024 F1 season has proven to be a thrilling one so far, and it remains all to play for as the campaign heads into its closing stages.

With six races remaining, the title is turning out to be a two-horse race between championship leader Max Verstappen and second placed Lando Norris.

The action resumes this weekend with the 19th race of the season at Austin in the United States, and McLaren will look to extend their constructors’ championship lead, ahead of Red Bull and Ferrari.

The Sprint weekend at Austin's sweeping Circuit of the Americas marks the first of the final six grands prix to the end of the season in Abu Dhabi on December 8 and is followed on successive weekends by Mexico and Brazil.

In MotoGP, Phillip Island gets set to decide who will contend for the crown and who will have their loyalties tested as the final stint begins.

From a pivotal weekend at Motegi, the points gap at the top is now back down to just 10 points heading into Phillip Island for the Australian MotoGP.

A perfectly-timed double from reigning champion Francesco Bagnaia was matched by a weekend soaking up the pressure from Jorge Martin to bring the two closer than they have been for some time in the standings

The 1-2 also means the distance back to Enea Bastianini and Marc Marquez is now almost insurmountable.
