FAR Rabat are the new queens of African club football after they thrashed defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns 4-0 to win the CAF Women's Champions League on Sunday.

Fatima Tagnaout opened the floodgates as early as the 15th minute for the Moroccans giving the home team a much needed head start.

Thing went from bad to worse for Sundowns when two of their players got sent off.

First out was striker Rhoda Mulaudzi in the 36th minute after a lunging tackle which got her a yellow card but was upgraded to a red card after a VAR consultation.

The second red card for Sundowns was flashed at the captain Zanele Nhlapho for a second bookable offence after she had been yellow-carded in 22nd minute for foul that resulted in the penalty for Rabat.

The star of the night was Ibtissam Jraïdi who scored a hat-trick to help the Moroccans to their first ever CAF Women's Champions League title.
