Monday’s round of fixtures in the 2025 Afcon qualifiers saw Cameroon confirm their spot in the competition next year.

The Indomitable Lions showed determination to defeat Kenya once again, just as they did on Friday and it paid off as they won their match 1-0.

They are still occupying first place in Group J, but now have 10 points, making it mathematically impossible for the nation to miss out on qualifying got the next Afcon.

Elsewhere, Zimbabwe beat Namibia 3-1 at the Orlando Stadium, and strengthened their bid to qualify as well. The Brave Warriors pulled a goal back in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be too late for them to recover from the goals conceded.

Mozambique had a dominating display against Eswatini and won with a convincing 3-0 victory against the team.

The Mambas had the most of ball possession and continuously put pressure on their opponents. With their victory, Mozambique has put Mali and Guinea-Bissau on alert mode as neither nation wants to get too complacent.

Algeria were also victorious as they played against Togo at Stade de Kegue and won 1-0. The Desert Foxes are at the top of Group E table, having won all four of their qualifying matches.
