FA Cup Final - 3 June
Man United will do everything in their power to prevent bitter rivals Man City from winning the treble. City, however, will be high in confidence following a sensational run that has seen them overtake Arsenal at the final hurdle in an effort to lift the Premier League trophy. For United, this presents an opportunity to add another cup (having already secured the Carabao Cup) to their trophy collection.
CAF Champions League Final - 4 and 11 June. Al Ahly v Wydad Athletic
Both teams will not lack for experience when they take to the field in the African Champions League final, but first-leg hosts Al Ahly will have a bevy of players who have played in multiple continental club finals previously.
The Cairo giants are looking to extend their record number of 10 triumphs in the competition but need to get past holders Wydad Casablanca, who are away in the first leg on Sunday but home in Morocco for the return on 11 June.

UEFA Champions League Final - 10 June
The UEFA Champions League final is set to be an absolute thriller as Manchester City and Inter Milan clash in Istanbul.
Pep Guardiola's City are on course for a treble this season - but a first Champions League title - after demolishing Real Madrid 4-0 in the second leg of their semifinal - while Inter are looking to end a 13-year wait for the ultimate European football title.
UEFA Nations League Final - 18 June
Croatia, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands will contest the 2022/23 UEFA Nations League finals after topping their League A groups. Spain (2021) and the Netherlands (2019) were runners-up in the first two editions while Italy finished third two years ago. For Croatia, the tournament in June will be their first finals appearance.

Currie Cup - 2-24 June
Now that the Vodacom URC is over, attention switches to the premier local competition. With seven teams still n the running for semifinal spots, it is all to play for over the first two weekends of June.
There are two matches on Friday, 2 June; three matches on Saturday, 3 June; two matches on Friday, 9 June, with the group stage ending with the Bulls v Cheetahs, and WP v Sharks on Saturday, 10 June.
The semifinals and final will take place over the following two weekends.
World Rugby U20 Championship: 24 June - 14 July
After a four-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the youngsters return and South Africa will host the next two tournaments in 2023 and 2024.
The hosts look to have a fairly simple group that also contains Argentina, Italy and Georgia, with all the matches taking place in the Western Cape.

World Test Championship Final - 7-11 June
Australia win WTC final by beating India
Scott Boland sparked a dramatic collapse as a dominant Australia hammered India by 209 runs to win the World Test Championship final at The Oval on Sunday. But they slumped to 234 all out before lunch on the fifth day, losing their last five wickets for a mere 22 runs. Boland did the initial damage with two wickets in Sunday's seventh over, including the prize scalp of Virat Kohli, on his way to figures of 3-46 in 16 overs. Offspinner Nathan Lyon (4-41) then polished off the tail.
Victory meant Australia had now captured the one major men's cricket title that had previously eluded them.

Roland Garros - to 11 June
The King and queen of clay will be crowned in Paris with Court Phillipe Chatrier playing host to the Roland Garros finals.
With Rafael Nadal missing from the 2023 edition, the likes of Novak Djokovic will be aiming to overtake Nadal atop the list for the most grand slam titles, while Carlos Alcaraz will be hoping to assert himself as the new man to beat in men’s tennis.
Over on the ladies’ side Iga Swiatek is aiming to become a three-time champion while the likes of Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff and Victoria Azarenka will be out to claim glory for themselves.

Major season in in full swing and you can catch three of them in July.
The action kicks off with the US Open at the Los Angeles Country Club where the best men’s golfers on the planet tussle it out for the third major title of 2023.
Next is the turn of the ladies who will fight it out for glory at the Women’s PGA Championship at Baltusrol’s Lower Course before the old-timers seek glory at the Senior US Open at the Stevens Point Country Club.

The motorsport season continues to thrill with five pedal-to-the-metal events for you to look forward to.
Max Verstappen take his title defence to Barcelona and Canada where he will be looking to stretch his lead on the drivers’ standings.
Elsewhere the MotoGP roadshow makes stops in Italy, Germany and the Netherlands where championship leader Francesco Bagnaia will be out to fend off the interest of the likes of Brad Binder Marc Marquez and Marco Bezzecchi.

Comrades Marathon - 11 June
The world’s most iconic ultramarathon takes to the streets of Pietermaritzburg and Durban once again and the coverage is better than ever.
Not only will there be the main feed that will broadcast all the action from the start of the race to the final cutoff 12 hours later there will also be a dedicated women’s channel, covering the women’s professional race in the greatest detail ever.
For the average joe looking out for the friends and family to finish the race, there will be a streaming only channel broadcasting from the finish line.
