Namibia named 10 players from South Africa’s Premier Soccer League and two more from clubs in Botswana in a full-strength squad as they bid to finish off their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in style.

Coach Collin Benjamin on Tuesday named his 28-man squad for the last two Group games against Cameroon and Kenya.

Namibia have lost all four of their qualifying matches and have no chance of making the finals in Morocco next year, missing out after having made the last-16 at this year’s tournament in the Ivory Coast.

Peter Shalulile will lead the attack with leading performers like Riaan Hanamub and Deon Hotto also in the team.

Namibia may not use any of the stadiums in their country because they have been declared unfit for international matches after inspection by the Confederation of African Football.

Instead, they will host already-qualified Cameroon at the Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg next Wednesday, 15 November, and then take on Kenya away on Tuesday, 19 November.

The venue for the match has yet to be announced but it will not be in Kenya, who also do not have any suitable home venues.
