FULL TIME! 32-26. Wales hold on for the most dramatic win of the tournament thus far. What a game! Fiji were poor in the second half but scored twice, and should have scored three times in the final 10 minutes. Superb game that.
What a finish. Fiji play from their own 22 to within 5m of the Welsh line. Huge overlap, long pass, Radradra just needs to collect and run it in. But the pass bounces and he knocks it on. What a finish, Wales hold on, but what an absolute delight. Fiji woke up slightly too late.
Fiji have a lineout inside Wales half. 30 seconds to play.
TRY! FIJI! 32-26. Fiji are over and this time there is no doubt. We are in for a great finish.
Another penalty and Carley gives Wales another warning. That should be another yellow.

Domachowski is also in the bin. 14 on 14.

Biggar is in full control of this game. His boot is singing at the moment. Fiji have another lineout deep inside their own 22.
Wales have been brilliant in this second half. It isn't all pretty but they are keeping Fiji pinned in their half.
Fiji get pinged again. Wales have their tails up now and Fiji are throwing their chances in this game away very fast.

Early penalty to Wales. Biggar will kick at goal from the 15m line.
KICK OFF! 18-14. Biggar gets the second half underway. Will it be as exciting as the first? Cracking match to this point.
HALF TIME! 18-14. Fiji can't make it count at the end and Wales have the lead at the break. We have had a bit of everything in that game, Fiji have largely dominated, but some errors have cost them points. Wales need to keep going to the trenches, that is where they will win this game. While Fiji have matched them at set piece and given themselves a solid attacking platform.

Another penalty to Wales and they elect to go to tough. Lineout 5m out. They are taking Fiji to the trenches, exactly what they need to do.
Much better from Wales as they find more space around the fringes and Fiji give away easy meters. There is also a no-arms tackle which gives Wales a penalty.

That's not to say Fiji have a poor set piece, they are actually vastly improved. Much of that comes down to the continuity they have managed to build. However, over 80 minutes, they will have to get parity at set piece, manage the breakdowns and their discipline, and then try to take the Welsh defenders on man-for-man.
The extreme heat in France has made the ball very slippery with plenty of sweat. But Fiji only know how to play one way, and if they try to match Wales by moving from set piece to set piece, they will struggle to get close.
Gatland has certainly started getting a tune out of Wales after a poor Six Nations campaign. And going by how the games have gone to date, his more conservative style may just be the difference in this game.

The big news leading up to this game was the injury to Fiji flyhalf, Caleb Muntz. He will certainly be a massive miss considering how important he has been to the Fijian side this year.
History shouldn't play too much of a role tonight. Fiji are in very strong form while Wales have struggled over the last two seasons. Fiji have won five of their last six games, while Wales lost their last two warm-up games.
Wales have won 11 of their 13 matches against Fiji, however, Fiji did beat Wales in the 2007 Rugby World Cup pool stage. That was the year Fiji reached the quarter-final, their best performance yet.
The match will kick off at 21:00 SAST (19:00 GMT, 20:00 BST).
Hello and welcome to the final match of the opening weekend of the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France. It promises to be an absolute humdinger and the hungry Fijians take on Warren Gatland's Wales at the Stade Matmut-Atlantique.
