The response was an emphatic one as they put in a dominant display. This is their 50th win at Eden Park where they have yet to taste defeat in Test rugby. New Zealand take a full house of five points while the Pumas get nothing.
The All Blacks think the match is over but there will be another penalty to Argentina after a piece of foul play on the deck. The Pumas set up a lineout on the New Zealand 22.
The scrum has to be reset but first they have to separate the forwards who have some differences to sort out.
Barrett kicks his penalty dead and now Argentina have the scrum close to halfway.
A loose pass ends the Pumas attack and New Zealand have the scrum close to halfway and just inside the Argentina half.
New Zealand get a penalty at scrum time with Argentina unable to take the hit. Barrett kicks to touch but only as far as his own 22. New Zealand gather the ball and kick long but not out.
The Pumas lose the ball forward as they try to clear it from the maul. New Zealand have the scrum but need to make a change as their hooker is in the bin.
YELLOW CARD, NEW ZEALAND, AMUA:
Amua is done for head-on-head contact but that looks a harsh call.
The contest becomes a little bit loose and a Pumas player is down and the TMO will take a look at it.
CONVERSION, ARGENTINA, ALBORNOZ, 42-10:
Albornoz adds the conversion.
TRY, ARGENTINA, MALLIA, 42-8:
Mallia twists and dives over to score at last as the Pumas get some consolation.
A loose ball squirts away from Barrett and Argentina have their best attacking ball of the match so far. However the attack loses a bit of momentum as the All Blacks scramble back.
New Zealand win another penalty on attack as the Pumas just cannot cope with the speed of attack. The All Blacks will set up a lineout five from the line.
New Zealand get the free kick from the scrum and kick to touch just inside the Argentina half. The Pumas cannot use the ball and a croc roll sees them penalised. The touch finder takes play close to the Argentina 22 where New Zealand set up a maul.
Jordan gets isolated and gives up a penalty which Argentina drill into touch well inside the All Blacks' 22. However, Argentina lose the ball as they try to get it down off the top of the lineout. New Zealand will feed a scrum inside their own 22 to restart play.
New Zealand just force a pass in attack and it goes forward. The Pumas have the scrum feed but they are right back on their own 22.
New Zealand threaten again with a phenomenal counterattack but the chip in behind is dotted dead and Argentina will restart with a goal-line dropout.
New Zealand give up the penalty at the breakdown on attack and the Pumas can clear their lines with the penalty.
The Pumas try to play from deep but get held up and will have to scrum with New Zealand having the feed. The All Blacks will be dangerous from this scrum. New Zealand spill it though and Argentina hack it clear.
The All Blacks pour forward in another liquid attack but then there is a knock-on as Ioane tries to pick the ball up off the deck. The Pumas have a scrum deep in their own 22.
The All Blacks scrum wheels but the penalty goes their way and they can clear their lines with a kick to touch from the penalty.
Sclavi looks to have been held up but the TMO will have a look to see if a try has been scored. Jonker is called into action for the first time in this match apart from his call on a no-arms tackle in the first 40. It has been knocked on and New Zealand have the put-in to the scrum.
The Pumas attack with advantage after their maul is stopped close to the line. The All Blacks get a warning after giving up several penalty advantages in the last attack.
Argentina spill it in attack but they had an advantage and they will kick the penalty into the corner and hope for a better lineout effort.
Argentina finally put some pressure on New Zealand after the free kick at scrum time but their attack starts to lose some steam.
Both sides have a crack at gathering the loose ball. They cannot and we have a scrum.
A poor attempt at a grubber allows Clarke to sprint away but Argentina get back and make the steal after an aggressive clearout misses Matera. They find touch close to halfway. New Zealand have the lineout feed.
Matera gets in to make the steal or he would have if the All Blacks hadn't held on and they have a penalty. They kick to touch just inside the All Blacks half.

TRY, NEW ZEALAND, JORDAN, 40-3:
There is no stopping the All Blacks as Jordan scythes through and gets the ball down eventually despite the attentions of two defenders.
The match restarts with Argentina spilling the ball and coughing up an attacking scrum. here come the All Blacks.
HALF TIME: NEW ZEALAND 35-3 ARGENTINA
Argentina couldn't find a late response the All Blacks piling on the points in that first half. New Zealand have responded well while the Pumas haven't been as sharp as they were last week.
Argentina get the scrum penalty this time and put the kick out just short of the 22 where they will set up a lineout.
Savea does great work to get over the ball but he spills it as he rips it clear and Argentina have a scrum between halfway and the ten inside the All Blacks half.
CONVERSION, NEW ZEALAND, MCKENZIE, 35-3:
McKenzie converts with by far his easiest kick of the first half to keep that scoreboard ticking over.
TRY, NEW ZEALAND, B BARRETT, 33-3:
New Zealand are putting on a clinic. They hold the ball through the phases and eventually Barrett flies through on the perfect line.
Argentina up the intensity but then they get penalised for rolling into the nine and New Zealand switch play into the Pumas half and maul up into the danger zone.
After a spilled ball is regathered, New Zealand again kick to touch and Argentina win their lineout ten inside the All Blacks half. The Pumas lose it and New Zealand kick it back at them but then the Argentines spill it again and New Zealand will feed a scrum.
CONVERSION, NEW ZEALAND, MCKENZIE, 28-3:
McKenzie cannot miss from the tee today.
TRY, NEW ZEALAND, JORDAN, 26-3:
Perenara snipes and then puts Jordan in with a perfect pass.
Argentina respond to a long kick clear from New Zealand by putting it into touch on their own 10 metre line. New Zealand gather the lineout and setup the maul.
Argentina are backpedalling in attack but get a little lucky as the All Blacks knock on. They are going backwards at the scrum but somehow get it clear and can attack.
New Zealand kick to touch after the restart as they continue to play the percentages well in tricky conditions.
CONVERSION, NEW ZEALAND, MCKENZIE, 21-3:
McKenzie slots another conversion and New Zealand are really rocking now.
TRY, NEW ZEALAND, CLARKE, 19-3:
The Pumas dawdle on the ball and Savea mugs them in midfield. They then use that ball to put the Pumas under pressure. Clarke gets in to score at the corner.
New Zealand get the scrum penalty and can clear their lines with a big kick up towards halfway. The All Blacks have a clear upper hand when it comes to the scrum.
The All Blacks disrupt the Pumas maul and force an error and they will have the scrum feed five away from their own line.
The Pumas go to the corner after they get a cheap penalty off the restart when the All Blacks advance after a kick in an offside position.
CONVERSION, NEW ZEALAND, MCKENZIE, 14-3:
McKenzie does well to convert the try.
TRY, NEW ZEALAND, SAVEA, 12-3:
The maul is topped just short but after a couple of probes, Savea powers over to score.
New Zealand attack with an advantage after the scrum goes down again. They cannot use it and they will kick the ball into the corner for another lineout.
Argentina are blown up for failing to use the ball at the ruck quickly enough and New Zealand have the first scrum feed of the match. The first scrum goes down and the referee has a word.
PENALTY, ARGENTINA, CARRERAS, 7-3:
Carreras slots the kick eventually after getting a teammate to hold it steady.
Lomax is done for a no-arms tackle and Argentina will call for the tee to try to get on the board.
Argentina give New Zealand a let-off as they come up offside with the All Blacks deep inside their own 22. They kick to touch just outside the 22 where they will set up a maul. McKenzie probes for a 50/22 but kicks it straight out into touch. Argentina have the lineout halfway between the 50 and the 22 metre line.
CONVERSION, NEW ZEALAND, MCKENZIE, 7-0:
McKenzie slots the conversion as New Zealand get a perfect start.
TRY, NEW ZEALAND, MCKENZIE, 5-0:
Barrett probes in behind with a neat kick and McKenzie wins the race to the ball.
New Zealand turn down a shot at goal after failing to make the most of a penalty advantage. The All Blacks go back to the lineout but they lose the ball and Argentina find a touch but still inside their own 22.
Savea gathers a kick ahead and bursts through two tackles before he is tackled into touch inside the Pumas 22. New Zealand have the throw in at the lineout as it went out off an Argentine.
Argentina are backpedalling after a mistake following the lineout and they end up scrambling a kick out just outside their own 22 handing the All Blacks a platform to attack.
KICK OFF: Carreras kicks off for Argentina but New Zealand immediately kick to touch on the ten.
A steady rain is falling as the All Blacks prepare to deliver the haka before kick-off. Conditions are set to be very tricky for both sides.
