The Springboks had too much firepower for Portugal as they ran in ten tries. Portugal entertained and won hearts with their bravery. The refereeing left quite a bit to be desired.

Mapimpi powers over for his third try.
Arendse just cannot stay infield after gathering a clever kick and Portugal have a defensive lineout.

Horn now goes to the bin for a tackle in the air.
Venter coughs up the penalty that allows Portugal to exit after they tried to launch from deep.

Feinberg-Mngomezulu kicks the conversion.
TRY, SOUTH AFRICA, VENTER, 55-14:
Its another try on debut as Venter goes over in his first Test appearance after coming off the bench.
Feinberg-Mngomezulu kicks a huge 50/22 to give the Springboks an attacking lineout.

Horn is put away by a between-the-legs pass from Van Den Berg and we are in to the exhibition play now.
Portugal are lucky to avoid a yellow card for a cynical professional foul. The Springboks call for a centre-field scrum from the penalty.

TRY, PORTUGAL, DOS SANTOS, 43-`12:
Portugal finally crack the Springbok defence with Dos Santos dancing in around the outside.

Mapimpi is in for the try off the counter initiated by Feinberg-Mngomezulu.
South Africa get done by a call of use it that Van den Berg doesn't react to quickly enough. Portugal have an attacking scrum from another refereeing gift.
Portugal have a penalty and set up a lineout inside the Springbok 22 this time.

TRY, SOUTH AFRICA, MAPIMPI, 34-7:
Mapimpi gets in for they try straight off the setpiece as South Africa had advantage for the collapse scrum.
Portugal get the steal on their line but then hold on and give up the penalty. South Africa call for a scrum.
Mapimpi lose the ball in contact after tracking back to help Libbok cover a kick. Portugal have an attacking scrum but no dominance at the setpiece.
Portugal withstand a South African assault and kick clear after a grubber from Reinach doesn't go to hand. Play gets stopped just inside the Portugal half with a player down and in the way. Portugal have a scrum feed.
South Africa kick off the second half with a long drop and Portugal kick to touch ten from halfway where the Springboks will feed a lineout.
HALF TIME: SOUTH AFRICA 29-7 PORTUGAL
South Africa finished the half with 13 men on the field but looked well in charge. Portugal have been the recipients of some helpful refereeing but haven't been able to secure enough ball to hurt the Springboks. South Africa look like they could score with each attack.
CONVERSION, SOUTH AFRICA, LIBBOK, 29-7:
That's a much better kick from Libbok and it adds two.
TRY, SOUTH AFRICA, AM, 27-7:
Am finishes off well with a neat step and then powers over to score.
Libbok finds a good touch from the penalty after a scrum goes down. South Africa have the lineout ten inside the Portugal half.
Portugal get a generous penalty turnaround now for Snyman 'escalating' off the ball pushing. Portugal then waste the refereeing bonus as they throw a forward pass on the South African 22.
YELLOW CARD, SOUTH AFRICA, ARENDSE:
Arendse gets done for a croc roll and will do ten in the bin.
Portugal get a let-off as Mapimpi's offload doesn't go to hand and the Portuguese have the scrum feed inside their own 22.
It's all action from South Africa as they launch from everywhere but Portugal will have a penalty to clear their lines after Snyman hangs onto the ball on the ground.
Libbok cannot convert the try again from out wide.
TRY, SOUTH AFRICA, DIXON, 22-7:
Dixon powers over from short range but the Springboks started this attack from their 22 off the restart. Liquid attacking play was sparked by a testing run from Libbok. So many got a touch in the build up, a real team try.
CONVERSION, SOUTH AFRICA, LIBBOK, 17-7:
Libbok converts the try.
TRY, SOUTH AFRICA, ARENDSE, 15-7:
Arendse gets onto the end of a neat chip from Fassi to score after a poor clearance kick from Portugal.
South Africa secure the ball at the lineout but then knock it on after a well-worked set move gets them within five of the Portugal line.
South Africa win the penalty at scrumtime and they initially look like they will take a shot at goal but then go for touch and find it at the Portugal 22.
South Africa win a crucial turnover but then a poor pass leads to a knock on in midfield. Portugal have the scrum just inside their own half.
Libbok misses another conversion from out wide.
TRY, SOUTH AFRICA, BUTHELEZI, 10-7:
Buthelezi has the ball in hand but South Africa's dominant maul has won them that try.
The Springboks will have another go at setting a maul after Portugal cough up a penalty at the lineout.
Reinach sparks a break and South Africa are back in the Portugal 22 in no time but they cannot use an advantage and go to the lineout again.
Libbok cannot convert the try to level the scores.
TRY, SOUTH AFRICA, WESSELS, 5-7:
Wessells bashes over after the offload from RG Snyman. The Boks had a lineout five out after a penalty off the restart.
RED CARD, SOUTH AFRICA, ESTERHUIZEN:
No words for that call. Ridiculous but Esterhuizen has been red-carded.
CONVERSION, PORTUGAL, MOURA, 0-7:
Moura converts the try.
TRY, PORTUGAL, DOS SANTOS, 0-5:
Portugal resist a Springbok counterattack and Portugal go themselves from deep with Dos Santos away.
Portugal have started this match on the front foot and have a scrum just outside South Africa's 22.
The Springboks are made to scramble but they resist the attacking play of the Portugal team. Fassi has to work hard to gather a cross kick and Mapimpi carries well away from the goal line. Libbok fuinds touch just outside the South African 22.
Portugal show they can be dangerous but Arendse gets back to dot dead after the kick through. Portugal have a scrum five out.
YELLOW CARD, SOUTH AFRICA, ESTERHUIZEN:
Esterhuizen is done in by a bizarre interpretation of replays by the TMO. There is no apparent head contact on the replays but there is some whiplash .
Deft play by South Africa but they fail to gather an offload on the Portugal 22. Portugal are under pressure at scrumtime and quickly send it wide where Esterhuizen slams Lima in midfield and there might be a TMO check here.
KICK OFF: Portugal kick off deep and Esterhuizen carries well before a long kick clear from Reinach. Portugal step into touch and the Springboks have a lineout on halfway.
