Ipswich Town v Crystal Palace

This will be the first league meeting between Ipswich Town and Crystal Palace since March 2013, and a 3-0 Championship win for the Tractor Boys at Portman Road. Crystal Palace are unbeaten in all four of their Premier League meetings with Ipswich Town (W3 D1), with this the first such match since a 2-0 win at Portman Road in February 1995.

Crystal Palace have lost just one of their last 11 Premier League games against promoted sides (W6 D4), going down 2-1 at Luton Town in November last season.

Ipswich are unbeaten in their last 28 midweek (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) league matches, since a 2-0 loss to Charlton Athletic in League One in December 2021 (W21 D7).

Leicester City v West Ham United, 10:15pm

Leicester won both Premier League meetings with West Ham in 2022-23 but haven’t won three consecutive league games against the Hammers since a run of five between 1965 and 1966.

Having won three of their first five Premier League away games against Leicester (D1 L1), West Ham have won just two of their last 11 such visits (D4 L5).

West Ham are unbeaten in their last 12 Premier League games against promoted sides (W10 D2) since a 1-0 loss at Nottingham Forest in August 2022.

Leicester won all six of their midweek Championship home games last season (Tues, Weds, Thurs), scoring 17 goals and conceding just three.

Everton v Wolverhampton Wanderers

Everton have lost their last three home league games against Wolves. It’s their longest losing home run against Wolves, and as many defeats as they’d suffered in their previous 18 against them at Goodison Park (W9 D6).

Wolves have won five of their last six league games against Everton (D1), more victories than they’d managed in their previous 21 against them (W4 D8 L9).

Wolves have won their last three Premier League away games against Everton – only at Southampton (a current run of four) have they won more consecutively on the road in the competition.

Everton have won just 29.5 per cent of their Premier League games played on Wednesdays (33/112), their lowest win rate on any day of the week in the competition. However, they won their last such game 2-0 against Liverpool in April.

Manchester City – Nottingham Forest

Manchester City are unbeaten in their last eight league games against Nottingham Forest (W6 D2), since a 3-2 home loss in the second tier in December 1997.

Nottingham Forest have lost their last four away league games against Man City by an aggregate score of 12-0, while in the top-flight they’re winless in their last seven visits (D3 L4) since a 3-0 win in November 1989.

Nottingham Forest have lost their last five away games against reigning top-flight champions by an aggregate score of 21-2. Their last such win was against Manchester United in December 1994 (2-1).

Manchester City are unbeaten in their last 31 Premier League home games played on a Wednesday (W27 D4), winning each of the last 20. Their last such defeat was in May 2010 against Tottenham.

Newcastle United v Liverpool

Newcastle have lost their last six Premier League games against Liverpool, and are winless in 15 against the Reds since a 2-0 win in December 2015 (D4 L11).

Liverpool have won five of their last six away league games against Newcastle (D1), with their current streak of three their longest ever winning away run against the Magpies.

Liverpool have won 11 Premier League games in which they’ve trailed at some point against Newcastle, the most comeback wins one side has against another in the competition’s history.

The 15 evening kick-offs (7pm or later) between Newcastle and Liverpool in the Premier League have produced 51 goals (3.4 per game), including two famous 4-3 wins for Liverpool (1996 and 1997). Indeed, the Magpies have won just one of these 15 meetings (D3 L11).

Southampton v Chelsea

Southampton have won their last two Premier League games against Chelsea, as many as in their previous 18 (D5 L11). They last won three consecutive league games against the Blues between 1979 and 1985.

Chelsea haven’t failed to score in any of their last 18 Premier League away games against Southampton, since a 1-0 loss in December 1997 under Ruud Gullit.

Chelsea have only won more Premier League away games against Tottenham (15) than they have against Southampton (14), while of team’s they’ve faced 20+ times on the road in the competition their highest goals-per-game ratio is against Saints (1.9 – 45 goals in 24 games).

Southampton have lost six of their last eight midweek (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) Premier League games (W2), losing each of the last three without scoring.

Arsenal v Manchester United, 10:15pm

Arsenal have won their last three Premier League games against Manchester United – they’ve never won four in a row against the Red Devils in their league history.

Manchester United have lost seven of their last nine Premier League away games against Arsenal (W1 D1) and are winless in six visits to the Emirates (D1 L5) losing the last three in a row.

Arsenal’s last three Premier League home games against Manchester United have seen them win 3-1, 3-2 and 3-1 again. The last team to score 3+ goals in more consecutive home league games against the Red Devils were the Gunners themselves, who did so seven times in a row between 1970 and 1978.

Arsenal have won just two of their 17 evening kick-offs (7pm or later) against Manchester United in the Premier League (D9 L6), though one of those was in their most recent such home game in January 2020 (2-0). Meanwhile, Man United have won six of their last seven midweek (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) Premier League games (L1), with these games producing 38 goals in total (F23 A15).

Aston Villa v Brentford, 10:15pm

Aston Villa are unbeaten in their last four league games against Brentford (W2 D2), having been winless in their previous eight (D4 L4).

Brentford have never won an away league game against Aston Villa (D6 L3), with the Bees only facing Stoke (14) and Halifax Town (11) more often on the road without ever winning in their league history.

There has been just one clean sheet in the six Premier League meetings between Aston Villa and Brentford, with the Villans winning 4-0 in October 2022 under Aaron Danks.

Brentford have lost nine of their last 10 Premier League games against sides that finished in the top four the previous season, with the only exception being a 1-1 draw with Manchester United in March.

Aston Villa have won just two of their last 14 Premier League games played on a Wednesday (D4 L8), though one of these was in their last such home match against Manchester City in December last year.

Fulham v Brighton

Fulham are unbeaten in all eight of their Premier League games against Brighton (W4 D4). It’s the joint-most they’ve faced a side without ever losing (along with Norwich) and the most the Seagulls have faced a side without ever winning in the competition.

Having won three consecutive Championship away games against Fulham between 2014 and 2017, Brighton have failed to win any of their last league visits to Craven Cottage (D1 L3, all in the Premier League).

Brighton have won none of their last nine Premier League away games against London clubs (D4 L5), last having a longer run without a league win in the capital between 1961 and 1967 (10).

Fulham won their first four midweek (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) Premier League games following their return to the division in 2022 but have since won just one of their last six (D1 L4).

Bournemouth v Tottenham Hotspur, 10:15pm

Bournemouth have won just two of their 14 Premier League games against Tottenham (D2 L10), losing both meetings last season.

Tottenham have won 10 of their 14 Premier League games against Bournemouth (D2 L2) – of sides they’ve faced at least 10 times in the competition, only against Swansea (79 per cent) do they have a higher win rate.

Tottenham average 2.5 goals-per-game in the Premier League against Bournemouth (35 goals in 14 games), their highest rate against any side they’ve faced at least 10 times in the competition. Spurs have only failed to score in one of their last 24 Premier League games played outside of London, doing so in a 4-0 loss at Newcastle in April.
