Bok squad for Lions showdown: live on SuperSport
It’s the chance to be heroes and on Saturday evening that possibility will move closer with the live announcement on SuperSport of the Springbok squad to play the British and Irish Lions in July and August.
SuperSport’s broadcast of the event (SS Blitz, SS Rugby and SS Grandstand) will begin with SA Rugby president Mark Alexander announcing the 45-man squad for three Castle Lager Lions Test matches at 6.30pm. Alongside him in the SuperSport studio will be the Boks’ coaching team: Jacques Nienaber and his assistants, Deon Davids, Mzwandile Stick, Felix Jones and Daan Human.
Rassie Erasmus, the director of rugby, will join the live event via Zoom. Several players will also join the event online.

The eight-match tour starts on July 3 when the local Emirates Lions take on the travelling British and Irish Lions and concludes on August 7 with the final Test match, also in Johannesburg.
All the action will be broadcast live on the World of Champions.
