The Vodacom Bulls have added another signature to their ranks, with former Springbok winger Travis Ismaiel returning to the team as from 1 July.

Ismaiel, who left the Bulls at the end of the 2018 season to join English club Harlequins, will return home and join Jake White’s side for the coming two seasons.

The 1.90m winger played all of his junior rugby in Pretoria after matriculating at Tygerberg High School in Cape Town, making his debut for the Blue Bulls in 2012, and appearing for them 42 times, scoring 22 tries in the process.

He has also appeared 39 times for the Vodacom Bulls in Super Rugby with 10 tries to his credit.

Ismaiel played for the SA A side in their series against the England Saxons in 2018 and made his Springbok debut against Wales in Washington in 2018, scoring a try on debut.

White has signed several high-profile former Boks since becoming Director of Rugby, including winger Gio Aplon, prop Marcel van der Merwe and flanker Arno Botha. The team also signed Cheetahs lock Walt Steenkamp last week and unveiled former Stormers forwards coach Russell Winter as their new assistant coach last week.
