Four teams are tied on 16 points atop the 2020-21 GladAfrica Championship standings heading into matchday 11, with first-placed Sekhukhune United and second-placed JDR Stars battling it out at Makhulong Stadium.

Babina Noko held onto top spot despite a 0-0 draw away to Cape United on Friday, with JDR also playing out a goalless draw at home to Richards Bay FC in a game marred by controversy.

The Natal Rich Boyz, who take on Polokwane City on Tuesday, revealed that they had played the match at Giant Stadium under protest due to Stars' reported failure to produce playing cards before the match - something which is compulsory as per the NSL/PSL handbook.

Jomo Cosmos and Uthongathi FC are also locked on 16 points, with the latter the only of the top six teams to have registered a win this past weekend. The Cane Cutters will be aiming to extend their unbeaten run to seven matches when they host bottom-of-the-table Cape Town Spurs.

The Urban Warriors are on a two-game winning run in the league but remain at the foot of the table, level on nine points with Bizana Pondo Chiefs and just seven points behind the leaders on what is an extremely congested table.

Cosmos squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at home to Pretoria University and will be hoping for a better result when they take aim at Cape Town All Stars.

On Wednesday, AmaTuks will play host to Cape United, who enter the week a point behind the joint-leaders while newly-promoted Pretoria Callies and Bizana Pondo Chiefs will go head-to-head for the first time since meeting in the ABC Motsepe League playoff final match in November.
