TS Galaxy extended their unbeaten run to four Betway Premiership matches when they claimed a 2-1 win over AmaZulu FC at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Friday night.

The victory elevated the Rockets to the third spot in the standings after registering their ninth league win of the season. Coach Adnan Beganovic's side will turn their attention to their next game which is against Marumo Gallants on 30 March.

Usuthu, on the other hand, remained seventh in the standings after recording their 11th league defeat of the campaign. Coach Arthur Zwane will be keen to ensure that AmaZulu return to winning ways when they face Chippa United on 29 March.

Eventual Man of the Match Kamogelo Sebelebele became a thorn in Usuthu's defence from the first whistle and he provided the assist for the opening goal as his pass was fired home by Dzenan Zajmovic, who handed Galaxy a 1-0 lead with a lovely finish in the 30th minute.

Galaxy were soon 2-0 up and this time it was Sebelebele who scored in the 39th minute with AmaZulu's defence exposed. However, Elmo Kambindu pulled one back in the 44th minute after the visitors went to sleep at the back and Galaxy were leading 2-1 at halftime.

A second-half dominated by Usuthu followed, with Nkosikhona Radebe, who has scored twice for AmaZulu since joining the club in January, having a chance to add to his tally in the 66th minute, but his attempt was saved by goalkeeper Ira Eliezer Tape.

Having been released by Galaxy in January, Radebe came very close to haunting his former side in the 77th minute as his effort hit the woodwork. Tape then pulled off a brilliant save to deny Tshepang Moremi in stoppage time to ensure that Galaxy secured a 2-1 win.
