SuperSport’s beloved football magazine show, Fanbase, has won the Most Informative Talk Show Award at the Behind The Scenes Awards.

This accolade reflects the show’s outstanding commitment to providing football fans with deep insights, compelling stories, and a platform to express their passion for the sport.

Launched in 2018, Fanbase was created as a unique space where football enthusiasts could openly share their perspectives on their favourite teams. Since then, it has become a staple for fans seeking in-depth coverage and thoughtful discussion on South African football.

Produced by the talented trio of Nono Cele Xaba, Karabo Pholoba, and Tsheamo Legoati, Fanbase continues to evolve and engage viewers each week. The show is hosted by Lindiwe Dube and airs every Sunday at 5:30pm on SuperSport PSL (DStv Channel 202).

To further strengthen its connection with fans beyond Gauteng, Fanbase has organised numerous roadshows across South Africa. One of the most notable events took place in Umlazi during the DStv Diski Challenge 10-year celebration at the iconic King Zwelithini Stadium. The team also traveled to Mpumalanga, where the roadshow saw an enthusiastic turnout from local fans, eager to share in the excitement of the live experience.

The journey to winning this award was not without competition. Fanbase stood alongside other respected talk shows, including Rea Tsotella on Moja Love. To triumph in such a competitive category is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and creativity of the entire Fanbase team.
