Ethiopia Nigd Bank striker Simon Piter and a host of other Ethiopia Premier League stars were sanctioned this week.

The Premier League's disciplinary committee on Wednesday revealed Week 28 disciplinary decisions based on the reports from match referees and other match officials.

Piter was red carded in the match against St George.

He was sent off for kicking St George's centre-back, Biruk Tarkegen in the face.

The committee looked at this incident from the reports and the video evidence corroborated the offence and, as a result, handed him a four-match ban.

The other player who got banned for multiple matches is Ethiopian Insurance's centre-back Million Solomon.

Solomon spat on an opponent and will be suspended for six matches.

Both players were also fined 3000 birrs each.

In addition to these two players, sevem more were punished with one match suspension each and fined 1500 birr.

Those players are Keni Saidy (Shashmene City), Yeabsera Mulugeta (Shashmene City), Michel Nelson (Shashmene City), Firew Solomon (Bahir Dar City), Yosef Tarekegn (Adama City), Abdulkerim Mohammed (Ethiopian Insurance) and Kenean Markneh(Mekelakeya.)

Wogayehu Burka (Shashmene City) and Birhanu Bekele (Sidama Coffee) were suspended for two matches and fined 2000 birrs each because they have both received 10 yellow cards this season.

Shashmene City, who saw four of their players punished this week copped, a fine of 5000 birrs.

One significant development was that a fan was punished for the first time this season, and he has been banned from attending his team's next two matches.

Tigabu Tikubet, an Ethiopia Nigd Bank fan, had tried to disrupt the match officials in the match between Sidama Coffee and Mekelakeya.

The committee decided that Tigabu will not be allowed to attend the last two weeks of matches of the season.
