Sunday will be a big day for the title race with Ethiopia Nigd Bank and Mekelakeya in crucial games, and the remaining relegated team could be decided.

There will be three Ethiopia Premier League week 29 matches on Sunday out there in Hawassa with a couple scheduled to be played simultaneously.

Those three matches are very crucial in the title race and to decide which team will be relegated next after Hambericho Durame last week.

There first two matches will Kick off at 3:00 pm at both Hawassa University stadium and the Hawassa Artificial(Logita) stadium.

Shashmene City and Ethiopia Nigd Bank will square up at Hawassa University stadium.

Ethiopia Nigd Bank are on top of the table with 58 points and have been unbeaten in the last 10 matches, but the last two matches haven't been among their best after they drew both.

Those draws against St George and Bahir Dar City have allowed their main Challengers, Mekelakeya to claw back their lead to just one point gap.

Shashmene City needs maximum points from the last two fixtures with the hope that Wolkite City will lose games. They are 15th with 14 points.

Coach Zemariam's team was unbeaten in the last 12 matches in the league.

The other early kickoff that will be held at Hawassa artificial(Logita) stadium, it will be a relegation fight for Wolkite against already relegated team Hambericho Durame.

Hambericho Durame's relegation was confirmed last week after they drew with Wolaitta Dicha. They looked out of sorts last week when they barely had just two players on the bench.

Wolkite City has the biggest chance to survive in the league as they are three points away from Shashmene Kenema.

Wolkite drew with Hawassa City last week after seven consecutive defeats, a valuable point gained.

The final match of the day features the other title contender, Mekelakeya up against Adama City.

Mekelakeya seemed a little far from the Commercial Bankers a few weeks ago with Ethiopia Nigd Bank winning week in, week out.

However, as Ethiopia Nigd Bank drew in the last two matches, Mekelakeya beat they won Fasil City and Sidama Coffee in back-to-back wins which brought them to within one point of the League Leaders.

Adama City on the other hand lost 3 - 2 to Bahir Dar City but romped to an impressive 5-0 win over Hawassa City.

Adama haven't lost consecutive games this season as this with be the hard stat for Mekelakeya who badly needs to win to overhaul Ethiopia Nigd especially as they won the reverse fixture 2-1 earlier in the season.
